We stopped by today, having been shopping, and sat outside in the tropical Belgian sunshine and had a couple of St Fleuillien beers and some food. I had a roasted chicken sandwich on a baguette/French bread and my lovely wife had a panini Parmigiana, with the main ingredient being egg plant. Yeah, a chicken sandwich isn't hard to do and it was basic; nicely roasted chicken and a nice spreading of mayo, along with a little bit of salad on the plate. Hey, I really liked it! The Parmigiana was enjoyed too and she even let me taste hers. I'm getting that next time! Cannot say much about inside because I just glanced through the window. It looked clean and spacious. Best of all, the waiters were very attentive and didn't seem to make anybody wait long for their food, drinks and then bill.

Pierre's son is the chef and Pierre is the pit master on a grill of hot wood coals - cooked and seasoned our beef to perfection. Mushroom sauce and french fries were great too! And, of course, the beer was fantastic. We also bought a 4 pack of all the beers that they brew year round. Definitely a place to have a great meal with some great beer in the Belgian countryside.

The service here is excellent and we even had the owner wait on us. She was one of the most friendly people we met on our entire trip. We had been out all day and were STARVING! One of our friends had done some Googling of restaurants and asking the Concierge on places for dinner and narrowed it down to Lolo. This restaurant is a bit of a hike from Lower Town, so we jumped in a cab and headed across the city. The four of us were greeted and seated at a nice table in the center of the restaurant. Our server/owner came right over and started chatting with us and told us about her restaurant. I was scanning the room and already scoping out dishes on the other tables. The problem is everything looked so good and I knew I was going to have trouble deciding what to order. We split a few starters and after we devoured those like hungry hyenas it was time to make our main selections. I went with one of the simplest dishes on the entire menu. A bowl of pasta in red sauce. But let me tell you, this pasta dish was far from being plain. It ended up being one of the favorites at the table. Look noodles perfectly cooked to al dente in a flavorful sauce that I still dream about to this day. It was the perfect dish to help refuel my tired body. The desserts are not to be missed.
