Same if you want soda refills or ice-that's not a French thing. The food was excellent. Our group tried the chicken burger, a cheeseburger, 4-cheese tagliatella, and cappocia, all except the pasta came with fries. The fries were so delicious, and if you want a more French experience have them with house mayo instead of ketchup. We had grilled pate fois gras for a starter and that was interesting. Good but unique-it reminded me of French toast. We also tried three desserts: chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and the dessert of the day panacotta. The panacotta was my favorite of these but all were good. The hostess brought us complimentary macarons as well (so nice) and I will say my first taste of pistachio macaron will not be my last. Far exceeded any expectations! This is a spot I'd recommend you try.

I began with an entrée of a lobster ravioli which is indescribable in its flavor and complexity. My husband had fish soup which made him cross his eyes with happiness. He then had a monkfish Brochette that was not only beautiful but deliciously prepared. I saved room for profiteroles and I am a wise woman indeed! As we left the owner shouted "God bless America!" To which one of the French patrons replied "Dieu bénisse France!" We concur. If you're anywhere near Giverny to see Monet this is the perfect spot for a meal. It's only about an hour outside of Paris ( outside of rush hours) and a wonderful place if you want to get out of Paris for an evening's dinner.

Note this is a bit challenging to find, its in the middle of a neighborhood surrounded by houses. You won't see or find it on a Main Street with other businesses. Parking is minimal but adequate for our group of over 20. Our wait staff was attentive, quick to serve, joyful in presenting and explaining dishes. Despite being a very large group everything was flawless and amazing. My wife indicated that in our 34 years of being wedded, in all our travels this was the absolute best meal she has ever had! And we have eaten at some great places. I would put it in my top 10 but I've travel a little more and been privileged to eat at some amazing places so it's hard to rank. Nevertheless it's up there. I've got a thing for A/C and cold water (everyone has their weirdness, these are a couple of mine). So take this from a person who is always too hot. But I did think the dinning room was hot as did others with us but were were all in business attire and they were experiencing a heat wave at the time. Just finished a long bike ride to the Eiffel Tower and worked up an appetite. Decided to go straight to the main course. They are known for Au Gratins. My son is not a cheese fan so he opted for the norvigene (smoked salmon in dill lemon and EVOO. I decided to stick with the house specialty; Landais Au Gratin (cream potatoes, duck breast and emmental cheese). The 2 German girls beside me ordered a cider with both their meals so I followed their lead. When in Paris...... Considering the temperature, I almost second-guess myself and ordered something other than their house specialty of au gratin potatoes. In the end, I was very glad I overruled that thought. Brody enjoyed his meal. He just appeared to still be hungry when it was done and a 16 year-old boy that normally has a high caloric intake, I can understand why he wanted a second meal after eating his first! The restaurant in the patio were quite crowded even though we had reservations. They still sat us within five minutes of arrival. Not that five minutes is a long time to wait, but it was still worth the wait as good as the food tasted. We both enjoyed our meals.

There was a lot on the menu that I was interested in and they had a number of different cuts of beef but I had to go with the Whole Duck Breast which is also a French classic which I got cooked medium rare but I'm perfect sure that's how they suggest it which is the right way like they do with all their beef too. Ashley and I also split the French Onion Soup. I will say by Duck was very good. Tasty rich sauce with crispy duck skin cooked perfectly. Some of the best duck I have had in awhile. I will say the French Onion Soup though was a little bland. I just didn't have that rich beef broth I am used too. Beside that everything was very good and would for sure recommend going to Café Blanc for a nice menu which amazing French options.
