The hotel is perfectly situated as a base from which to explore the wine territories, the local sights and hiking in the nearby craggy Dentelles de Montmireille. Both the hotel and restaurant are run by Proprietor Thierry Bernard and his wife. The hotel setting is lovely and idyllic, set in a woods right at the base of the Dentelles (in fact the start of the hiking path up the hills is 300 yards further up the road. Rooms are decently-appointed and comfortable. The outdoor porch and yard also are lovely. Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is a real standout, featuring top-notch local and French cuisine, skillfully prepared and immaculately presented. We ate there twice, and worked through various items on the menu. Its quite clear locals also dine there, which is not surprising, given its quality. In addition, the winelist is tremendous, and comprehensive, featuring not only wines from Gigondas and other southern Rhone distiricts, but also farther afield. In addition the famly also owns their own wineries, providing a very tempting "house" choice. Thierry is very good at helping diners select the best accompaniment for their meal. Overall we had a good experience at Les Florets. Our travel circumstances were slightly stressed by some earlier mishaps, and both Thierry and his wife were patient and helpful in trying to resolve the issues. Great hoteliers and splendid dinner hosts. I'd give the hotel 4 1/2 stars, and the restaurant 5 stars.

The small town of Barbentane has a Chinese/Vietnamese place, two traditional restos, a pizza place and two bars. No food or drink available on property. I can't wait to come here again! A steal of a deal at 85 euro a night. Just south of Avignon, easy to find and look for the signs posted here and there. Wifi a-ok. A Logis property.

The Accommodations The cottages are refurbished buildings from the days of the old mill. Beautifully decorated by Gaby. They cottages are very clean and fell like a home. I feel we get the full French Experience of living a very leisurely life here at Moulin de la Roque. The Experience Ask Gaby anything, she will tell you all you need to know about the area, traveling and what to do. Ask Guy about the grounds and the history.

Le Moulin de la Roque is the most charming and wonderful place to stay in (my opinion) the best…read morepart of France. Needless to say, Moulin de la Roque is a good as it gets. Guy and Gaby, along with Robin, Ashley and Mateo create the most comfortable atmosphere and accommodations. They are located in a 100 years old plus mill but the flats and villas are well appointed and extremely comfortable. The de la Roque also has it's own expansive open space and large pool to shake off the hot late summer days of Provence. Again, as good as the accommodations are, it's the fantastic and caring folks that own and operate Moulin de la Roque that make the best vacation spot for any price. I have just had easily the greatest vacation I have ever had, and it's due primarily to staying at this outstanding location.

Pierre, the owner, was always available to help with breakfast, directions, anything. Sophie was delightful, funny, service-conscious in French or English. She was fun! Céline, Pierre's daughter, was similarly friendly and very helpful. The inn has everything any traveler could need: a scrumptious buffet breakfast each morning, a guest kitchen with a fridge and light cooking facilities, a clothes washer and dryer, a swimming pool, and a very pretty rear patio and yard for relaxing. Wifi was always working, another plus. Our room on the ground floor, "Provence", was very comfortable, with an enormous modern bathroom with both a tub and shower, as well as its own window/door exit to the street. We loved our 5 days here and recommend Le Clos du Buis to anyone considering visiting the Luberon area. The village percé of Bonnieux is perhaps the most pretty of all the hilltop villages in the area. If we are in the area in the future, we would definitely come back to Le Clos du Buis. 10 stars!!!

The staff is very helpful and do the best to ensure your needs are meet. As this is a small town and the hotel does not have a restaurant the staff is willing to help you make reservations. If you are a cyclist this hotel is a great starting point for cycling up to the top of Mont Ventoux. After your ride the hotel offers a nice pool to relax in.

Gorgeous bed and breakfast!…read more Decor: With an airy hillside view of the mountains, Colorado cliffs, and Sentier des Ochres de Roussillon, this view is hard to beat! It also has a pool, a few metres down the hill, so one can enjoy a nice refreshing swim, day or night, while overlooking the cliffs. Inside, the rooms were nice. Comfortable beds. All rooms were separated by curtains (including toilet area, sink/shower area, and the space between the 2 couple's rooms). Service: Claire was an incredibly sweet, friendly host with several recommendations as to where to explore, visit, and eat. She was very detailed, only in naming towns we should go to, but also where we should go in those towns, and what places would be good to eat there. The breakfasts consisted of cheeses, meats, French bread, yoghurts, fruits, a fruit juicer, and a selection of at least 15-20 teas. There's also an incredibly sweet, well-behaved puppy (2 years at the time of writing) who doesn't beg, but loves to play fetch (with a tennis ball, pine cone, you name it)! You just duck down and she (usually) just drops it towards you, so you can throw it. All in all, a wonderful place to visit that goes out of its way to make the customers happy and feel right at home!

Seriously - N15* isn't even in The Great Yelp database yet?! For shame!…read more Fantastic option right in the heart of Avignon, a five-minute (charming) walk to the Palais des Papes. Very quiet, comfortable rooms, lovely chic decor that still shows off the house's 17th-century heritage. We stayed in the Amédée Saluces suite -- comfy bed, easy to adjust the temperature during the changeable shoulder season. Of course, L'Occitane bathroom products. The owner and host, Geraldine, is lovely and happy to offer suggestions for restaurants, sights, day trips, etc. The breakfast is delicious -- fresh fruits, pastries and baguettes, cheeses, etc. -- and, while we opted for continental (always go for the chocolate croissants, I say), Geraldine always offered hot options, as well. One very small note: you can drive through the streets of medieval Avignon, and there is (very limited) off-street parking at N15, but really, the smaller the car, the better. Check out the photos on the website. Truth in advertising: totally chic yet cozy. Now book your stay and sleep well, knowing you have made a good choice.
