During our stay in April, they did not have the A/C turned on, even though it reached 85 degrees in our room both nights. The front desk's only help was to suggest we keep a window open. However, underneath our room was a dance club that played loud dance music until 1:00am. So not only was the room very hot, it was very loud. No sleep. The shower would not drain water properly. The breakfast was really good with lots of options in the buffet.

The staff gave a warm greeting. They offer a generous fruit tray for our status. All the staff seem to be friendly and hard working. But that's all of the good. This place seems to need a management change. The bathtub takes so long to fill, the water is cold by the time it fills up. The towel warmer was removed and the floor warmer is no longer operable. The outlet in the bathroom apparently had an issue, so instead of fixing it, they just cover it up. So if you want to blow dry your hair, you need to do it in bed. The shower door was replaced with a cheap moldy curtain. Which, by the way, popped off twice while we were there, in bed. Talk about a spring loaded heart attack. So I did the initial review after checking in and heading out to site see. The more we saw, the more my opinion changed. There isn't a lot of attention to detail, obviously. There are cobwebs all over. Even in their dining room. For breakfast, many of the bowls used to hold fruit, had knobs broke off, so people were putting their fingers inside the lid to raise it. Gross. Won't be back.

We had a broken hvac unit, toilet paper holder, trash can lid, shower door handle, very dim lighting, very dark in room, only able to pick up one roll of toilet paper per day at front desk, two people in room for a 6 night stay. Towels cost 8E per person, to have room cleaned with linen 20E, these conditions are worst than the airlines. If you checked out and checked back in with a new room their's no charge for cleaning or linens. Make multiple reservations for more than two days. It's a big hassle for a extended stay. One or two night stay you could live with. This is a fairly new hotel with reasonable rates, but they maximize rates as they begin to fill rooms. I paid 62E and 242E for different days and was ration toilet paper to one roll per day and they refused to sell me a second roll. Is this a good business model for a hotel? MANAGEMENT MUST THINK SO.

Their breakfast buffet it quite exhaustive with eggs and bacon for my American friends. The room was large and bright. They are next to the local river. They are a 20 min walk to the Metro. Their in-house restaurant is good but they are right next to a great restaurant Octave!!
