With a local expert at hand, I described my one desire, which eclipsed all others: savon liquide feuilles de tomates. My sherpa was convinced it could be found at Le Comptoir de Famille, which had an outpost near my hotel in Saint Germain des Pres. Though the label was slightly different, one sniff confirmed that her hunch was correct.
