I've sat outside on the terrace and also inside for afternoon tea, and each time has been an enjoyable way to spend time with friends. The tea service is a great experience: your choice out of a large selection of teas or coffee, tasty finger sandwiches and scones, and a dessert buffet with so many choices, you'll have a difficult time deciding. And everything was delicious! As you would expect with this location, prices are high, but you're definitely getting a fantastic ambiance and excellent service. This is one of my favorite places to relax and chat with friends.

In addition to having a full bar and a decent selection of wines by the glass, a nice differentiator compared to other "fancy" lounges is they have a couple beers on draft. They also have a food menu, but I didn't try anything. The downside is prices are very high and there's no view of the lake. However, the ambiance is nice and if you're looking to have a drink in a more relaxed and comfortable environment, this is a good spot.

I was really looking forward to their Boeuf Bourguignon with fresh tagliatelle, but the sauce only seemed to taste like salt and the pasta was not dressed (olive oil or butter) or seasoned at all and was very dry. Ended with the crème brûlée but its hard to mess that up. While the restaurant is definitely beautiful inside and the service was good, there were better and less expensive choices in Beaune.

You have to make a reservation ahead of time to secure a seat and price wise would be similar to an elite restaurant in America...but worth it because you are also paying for the experience. They are very knowledgeable on their wine (they had an extensive bible of wine that the wine menu was so heavy) and made great recommendations based on taste preferences. I highly recommend if visiting Beaune!
