Last night in Paris candle lit inside and super tasty food, highly recommend, New favorite meal. Family friendly

Look, maybe it's the fact that it was slo close to the AirBnB, maybe it's the picturesque Paris cafe look, maybe it was the fact that it was my first foreign trip since the start of the pandemic, but this place was phenomenal. The first night we came, we had wine, then he ordered the truffle ravioli and I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes, then we were hooked. I mean, the steak was medium rare at its most perfect and the potatoes melted in your mouth. But that ravioli? Of the gods. If I could choose a last meal, that would be it. We went back two more times, including NYE, when we made sure to leave room for dessert, a chocolate lava cake. Just thinking about all of this makes me jealous of my past self. The servers were great, we had the same one twice and he was fantastic. Sitting outside, people watching, smoking tabac, eating pasta, it was the dream. Don't know when I'll be back but I hope it will still be there. read more

Dome exemplifies what I consider the essence of Paris and, more specifically, the 17th arrondisement: the outdoor/bar cafe that is packed, rain or shine, with patrons sitting within inches of one another, all facing the street for people-watching purposes. My new husband and I stayed a few blocks away during our honeymoon, and passed Dome multiple times a day on our way to or from the metro. We were always intrigued by the plethora of Dome-goers crammed onto the patio, looking out at us while sipping wine and munching on olives. On the third day of our trip, we finally sat down for a meal, to my hubby's delight. We ordered the tomatoes and mozzarella appetizer. Very fresh and tasty, served with some unbelievable pesto sauce. The portion was generous as well, and we ate all of it. I ordered the volaile with mushroom risotto, which I also enjoyed...but my hubby's pan-fried gnocchi with spinach and tomatoes was REALLY tasty. We both cleaned our plates. Service was good and very prompt, actually, and we enjoyed the outdoor evening cafe scene quite a bit. We were hoping to make it back for food and drinks again at some point during our trip, but didn't, unfortunately. If I were living in this neighborhood, I imagine that I would frequent Dome, as many do. Great food and great scene! read more

Worse restaurant so far in our visit to the city of Paris. Not only the food was disgusting, I mean cmon is Paris and every restaurant we've tried is magnifique! , but the waitress was rude and couldn't care less when we told him that we didn't like the food. read more

Super friendly waiter, spoke very good english. Gave us an excellent wine recommendation. We had the cheese plate and the steamed salmon, the salmon was a bit under flavored. Cheese plate portions were very big. read more

Our family, including our two children, ages 12 and 14, thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Le Dome. We thought the food was delicious, the wait staff was very friendly and attentive and the location is great. I got a drink called the Cowboy, it was absolutely delicious; I highly recommend it. The prices seemed average and it was one of our most memorable meals in Paris. read more

The menu is overpriced for what it is. Simple dishes. Our bill for two drinks, two coffees, two entrees was more than €75. I had the tomato basil salad. It was Roma tomatoes, fresh basil and cheese curd. €17 or €18... the waiter brought me oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. It was ok. Nothing exciting. The cocktail was good - Champagne and fruit in a large glass. The waiter asked for a tip from our change before handing me the change. This was strange. The tip is already included in the bill. It said so on the bottom. After living in Germany for several years, it's my understanding that tips are given as a small gesture of appreciation, but are not customary because they are already included. Maybe they are used to Americans over-tipping. :( American waiters make $2 / hour and live off of tips. This is not so in other countries and I believe they take advantage of this American custom abroad. read more

I basically ate a loaf of bread with the bread basket they gave me, but totally enjoyed every second of it. The risotto with shrimp was very delicious and creamy. I enjoyed the shrimp the most, the crisp of the grilled shrimp was done perfectly. I went here solo and had a lovely English speaking waitress serve me. I enjoyed a glass of Bordeaux wine with my meal and water was automatically provided with the bread basket. This place had is a very friendly environment that embraced everyone. Rather dinning alone or in a group, this place is ideal for all gatherings. read more

Dôme is a café on the border of the 8th and 9th arrondissements near Villiers métro. Slightly up-market, excellent service. A reviewer in French wasn't happy with this place. However, I thought it was fine when I visited in August 2008. A bit expensive though. I had an excellent coffee (espresso, EUR2.70) and a croissant (EUR2.60). I didn't try the food (something the other reviewer was unhappy with) so can't comment on that. The service was unusually prompt even though the terrace was full. Usefully for me, this place has free wi-fi (password from staff). read more

I really enjoyed this place on my first night in Paris. I chose the place because they speak English, at first I was just making time to go for another restaurant for dinner (where btw don't speak English) but I stayed because of the ambience, order the artichoke as a snack and was delicious, then order the scargots that were really good and finally dessert that was delicious but can't remember the name. My waiter Kevin was incredibly nice and patient with me and my lack of French. read more

This place is on the corner of a lively intersection. It's a great place to sit outside and people-watch. My wife ordered the Burrata Tomato salad and I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. The Burrata Tomato salad was nothing special, but WOW, the Bacon Cheeseburger was very tasty. The patty was cooked medium rare and was juicy and perfect! Will be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Nice chill place to stop and have a glass of wine and perhaps share some frites on a brisk autumn afternoon. The staff was super friendly, they even knew Spanish ( I found out as I was hacking my way through my pathetic French and I confused it with Spanish, the waiter immediately switched to Spanish!). The espresso was fabulous but the waiter was a jerk yesterday when I was stumbling upon my French. I'm not sure if he was apprehensive on whether or not i was going to pay, but he asked me to pay right away and was a bit rude about it. That, or it was a change in his shift. Either way, I felt like I was rushed when I was just trying to get caffeinated and he rolled his eyes at me. I'm better with my French when I've had coffee and I don't want shit for trying! The only saving grace: the coffee. I'd rather go to another cafe tomorrow morning than deal with that again. read more

I love the beaf cooked in red wine source!!! When my husband came to visit, I said you must try this typical French dish! So it's my second (and there will be a third time) time visit and will definitely come back for that specialty! read more

Located at the end of the very nice rue levis, where you have an interesting market at weekends, the restaurant normally is a good place. This one here is very badly done, very bad services, quality low and it is not at all nice to sitt inside. Avoid it and go next door! read more
