American traveling with my girlfriend. We went last night (Thursday) and had a fantastic time. We got there about midnight. My lady was free and for cover I was either $15 with a drink or $20 for two drinks. (There appeared to be some kind of student discount too) Found out it was happy hour until 1:00am so hold onto those drink tickets until the prices go up. No options if you had a preferred vodka - it was all well unless you sprung for an entire bottle. Club dancing picked up from about 12:30 onward. The ratio was about 35% female / 65% everyone dancing and having fun. Music was top 40 club hits from the 2000's and beyond. Loved it. Tons of blinky lights and they had a ridiculous amount of fog machines too. Super fun and very friendly to English speakers!!!! We left around 2:00am and there was nobody in line to enter. If you had more options for a preferred alcohol type to avoid a hangover, I would have given it 5 Stars! read more

I need to make this very clear: all of us felt insulted and humiliated by how we were treated at your cloakroom. We checked in four items and asked to collect only two. Instead of handling this normally, the staff refused, insisted we had to take all four, and took/snapped up our ticket. When we repeated--calmly--that we were only taking two items, they demanded that we pay again to re-check the other two items. The Asian female staff member was shouting aggressively, and the blonde staff member ignored everything we said and dismissed us. Their behavior was hostile, disrespectful, and felt discriminatory. This was not a simple mistake--this was unacceptable conduct. The staff member wearing glasses was polite and helpful, but the other two staff members were the main problem. I loved this place it's nice how they let anyone in and they aren't picky like Le Arc across the street. I came with 2 other girls and we are from out of town and the line went pretty fast which was good cuz it was very cold. As soon as we got in we paid the cover which was $25 I believe but it came with a free drink which I didn't even end up using till like 30 minutes before I left because I got free bottle service all night. Le Duplex is an awesome nightclub located directly near the Arc de Triomphe in the heart of Paris. This place is fantastic and provides an awesome experience for your entire party. If you're a walk up, it will require you to wait in line for a while before you can obtain entry and/or bottle service. Yes, you can make an advanced reservation for bottle service if you'd like a better table. The club itself is underground and actually quite large, equipped with multiple levels complete with giant dance floors and huge bars. Floor one consists of a giant bar, huge dance floor, tons of VIP tables and gaming station which played Mario cart, super cool. The DJ on the first floor was spinning some sick hip hop and had the crowd going the entire night. The second floor consisted of more of the same, a huge dance floor, big bar, plentiful seating arraignments and a nice DJ station playing more electro-pop & EDM. Overall, this nightclub was a dope experience and enabled you to party through the night, I mean literally til 7am. Good times, will be back and definitely recommend to anyone in Paris. Love this club! I had fun the few times I went. Been to Paris several times the past year, and I always stop by at Le Duplex. It's located near the Arc The Triomphe, so it's in an ideal location with great scenery. What's cool about it is how they have the club set up, like an old subway station. The club itself is underground, so you have to go downstairs like you're about to take a subway. Pretty neat, in my opinion. It does cost to get in and it is reasonable. Also if you want to check in your coat, or some of your belongings, you are able to do so at a minimal charge. I find the drinks here to be strong, and after two drinks I was buzzed. Usually it takes me more than two to get the buzz feel. As for music, They play varieties of music from the past to present which was a nice change compared to the clubs in the US, playing only the newest hits on the top 40! The crowd, very diverse. I was luckily enough to visit Paris 2 summers ago. My host were still newly wed and hand no interest in going out to party. They just wanted to sit home and make goo goo eyes at each other but they were kind enough to find the Duplex on the web and it was near where they live in the 16th District near the Arc de Triumphe. So about 11 PM I walked to the club that looks like an old time subway station because you have to walk down into the club. Outside there were 2 lines. One for men , One for women. Women just breezed right right through, but men unless you know someone it appeared, you had to wait and then be " approved " to go in. I was a litle worried because of the language barrier and I saw doorman tunr away a few guys who looked like wanna be extras from TAKEN. I got to the door mumbled by best French about how much was the ticket and when the placed closed - I got the feeling that being I was American, security considered me harmless and ushered me downstairs. Luck other have mentioned , I paid 25 Euros for entrance and 2 drink tickets went on in down the steps that reminded me of Club Hell in Matrix Reloaded - I half expected to see the Merovingian. .. The club scene is really different here. Girls dance in large groups together in the downstair room where they place Euro Disco - Mixed American Pop in one room and crazy Techno in another room. Men need no apply to dance with any chics there unless she walks up and starts dancing near you - I saw many guys go down in flames trying. There is another room upstairs from that maze that plays old school hip hop and I wasthere the week MJ dies so it MJ mixses for 2 hours and the still have dance battles on the floor there- it was like STEP UP TO THE STREETS - PARIS All in all very entertaining few hours - I found it surprising ly easy to get a drink - bartenders just tossed the bottles after you tossed a ticket - it may not have worked as well with a mixed drink :) I will but this on my must see list for Paris if you like dance, club music for sure read more

We're from the states and were looking for a club/lounge that had some music from back home. We came across Duplex from a simple google search and figured we'd check it out. Entrance was simple for us considering we were a younger well dressed couple. We walked right up and right in. Entrance was 20 Euros but that also included one drink each. The bartender was at first cold and rude but once I started tipping him a euro here and there his demeanor changed and I rarely waited in line for a drink again. After that we weren't even told where to go or how to get a bottle. We went to the bar in the electronic/dance room and ordered a bottle. We had already pre-paid 120 euros and gotten a voucher, but that was only enough to redeem a bottle of orlov vodka. I paid had to pay an extra 80 euros for a bottle of Greygoose, which would have been fine, if the old, fat guy at the table next to ours had not stolen half our bottle while we were dancing. Thankfully, the table next to ours helped tell the waitress what happened and the club gave us a whole new bottle for free. The old, fat guy was escorted out for a while, but came back in later. Despite all of that, the night was pretty good. The crowd was fine - a little sketch at times, but respectful enough to back off when told. The music was good, but not that current especially in the hiphop/rnb room, but it was kind of nice to reminisce about middle school and high school dances. The club itself is several stories but the lower dance floors are usually not open until the top is near capacity. There is also a bowling alley adjacent to the top dance floor, so if you got there early you can pass time by drinking & meeting people while bowling. The crowd here is very diverse, we met people from all around the world...Russia, California, London...etc.. and everyone is pretty friendly. I went to this club a few times, usually with a group of friends (5 to 15 people) over the weekend. This club usually charges a cover to get in, but you can sometimes go around it if you register on the guest-list online. The club's main area is very large with several different rooms. The architecture of this club is pretty good but nothing exceptional. Their DJs are usually not very famous, so I would not recommend this club if you want to see very famous DJs performing. Be aware that this place does not offer parking, and that it can be tricky to find street parking in the area. I went with my friends and all of the girls in my group were physically pushed by the bouncer, AFTER already being let into the entrance line (we were sober). being from america, any sort of physical touch by a bouncer is illegal.
