Here I am a man of 61 years who is married for 39 years, tired from an exhausting flight looking to down a beer, being accused of trolling chicks!! I wish I had gotten his name so I could call him out! And then I asked him about his knowledge of Mr. Hemingway, and he was a complete dolt! The decor would be "sweet" for a basement, but not too much for a bar trying to pose for a cocktail bar. I guess the fake tree is ok, but overall blah. And give me a break with the drink selection.... If I wanted grenadine or imitation rose's lime mixed with some vodka and pineapple juice, I'd go to a college party and not spend €8 per drink. The "cocktail list" is totally a joke - amateur hour is a compliment for this hot mess. However, some drinks come with gummy creatures, which makes up for maybe €1 of my complaining.

Code Bar put us in for three drinks each. Astonishingly, the bar is running with no menu. I'm sure they could make the classics, but we just told them what we wanted - something served up, a short or a long drink, or any combination of fruity, dry, smooth, acidic, or dairy-forward. No matter what mixture of flavor notes and finishes we threw, they delivered. And they adjusted drinks to our request as we sipped. The mixologists' English is great, too, so don't worry about not being understood.

We also got a tiny complimentary bowl of rice cracker snacks to munch on, although I feel like we should have been given more since we were a huge party spanning multiple mini tables. One thing that was uncomfortable was that there were 2 people in our group that didn't want to drink and therefore did not order anything. Even when this was explained, it felt like staff was pushing them to order a drink. We came here in the late afternoon and were the only party there, so it's not like they were taking seats away from paying customers.
