The location in the mountains is quite lovely and the dining facility is likewise nice enough. The only drawback that I could see is that the service is average at best. We were on our way to Lausanne and needed a quick place for lunch. This establishment was ideal for that purpose as it was at a roadside stop on A9. It was situated in a nice area with surrounding mountains. The retail shop was in the front of the facility while the restaurant was in the rear. The dining room was quite comfortable and informal and there was a shaded porch for outdoor eating. It was a beautiful day so we opted to dine outside. It was not busy so we were able to be seated quickly. We were brought our menus right away but the server then disappeared and did not return. We waited for about ten or twelve minutes and then my colleague had to track her down. We were finally able to place our orders but this was a bit annoying since we had a train to catch after lunch. My colleagues had the Steak Tartar and the Vegetable Curry. They both were satisfied with their meals. I had a Chicken Curry dish that was actually quite lovely. I was certainly happy enough with my meal. The prices were not bad making it a decent value. Overall, this restaurant serves a purpose. As a roadside stop, it is a convenient place to pull off if you need a quick meal. The food is pretty good and the prices are not bad. The ambiance is informal and the location surrounded by mountains is its best feature. My only real complaint is that the service leaves a bit to be desired. But it is not a bad choice if you want a meal but need to make it a quick stop.

They're owned by Nestle now but they've still yet to return to my home. Recently when I was at the Bataclan in Paris at a party I noticed a small fridge where there was a girl passing out their ice cream. Holy cow! I had not seen this ice cream in so long! It totally made me feel like a kid again. How do I import this crack like substance again?!?

Even though we had reservations, I do not think you need it for lunch. I might have gotten a bit paranoid from the Michelin Star restaurants in Paris that require you to wear a jacket (men). There is no dress code here (at least for lunch) but would not recommend wearing gym clothes. We started with a salad and ravioli as appetizers. I went with the risotto, my wife went with the beef filet and my mom went with the wild shrimp pasta. All dishes were good (I tasted all of them) but my favorite was the risotto. If you enjoy salty food then risotto is for you. The wild shrimp was unique due to the cuttlefish ink. Although the wild shrimp didn't have a strong taste overall. Finally we ended our lunch with the mille feuille and the dark chocolate cake. The mille feuille was the better choice, it was on the lighter side. Overall a great place for lunch and here are my ratings: Salad 7 Ravioli 7.5 Lobster Risotto 8.5 Wild shrimp 7.5 Steak 8 Millufulle 8.5 Dark chocolate 7.5

The spiced ice cream was equally marvelous, with heavy notes of ginger and lemongrass to balance the rich souffle. The other dishes: lobster risotto, chicken and mushroom, and pepper gazpacho with lightly cured fish (the server and I were having slight language barrier, so I didn't get the specific species) were all expertly executed, though not too memorable as they are as good as you'd expect a good version of those dishes to be.
