Great new public library ( opened about a year or 2 ago), though I miss the old quaint space in…read morewhich it was previoulsy located. This new space is large, 2 storeys, very well-lit, so much so, that it can be uncomfortably warm when the sun is shining directly into the floor to ceiling windows. This is also a very family and kid friendly library, with study rooms, a virtual reality room, and one half of the second floor reserved for them, too bad they won't stay there; the racket can be very irksome indeed! Always a great selection of new books, and computers,on the main floor,computers and stacks on second, where abovementioned kids' space, virtual reality and study rooms are located. On main floor,there is a large area complete with microwave, to reheat your lunch or dinner, with tables and chairs to sit and eat, no food on laps here;facing the dining area, are nice upholstered couches to sit,relax and chat, or wait for the Maison de la Culture( located upstairs) doors to open for a show, (tix a must), an art gallery is next door to the lounge/dining area. There are various workshops,free to the general public, given throughout the year, reservations required. Great place.
