Fries were on the soggy side, but the duck definitely made up for it. Dessert was great too. Had the creme brulee and it beat out the others we had in Paris. The panna cota was enjoyable too. Topped it off with a few Kronenbourg beirs (beers). Bill was only €37 for two people. Despite having eaten at expensive restaurants in Paris, this definitely was much better. Would highly recommend!

I had the omelette with mushrooms which came with a side of fries. They cook using local products and both items were very good. Had a coffee to finish off the meal. All the meals that are served are large for lunch portions, so bring a healthy appetite.

They specialize in traditional Perigord cuisine and our greatest difficulty was choosing what to eat. Between us we had a Walnut salad with mustard dressing and a fabulous Foie Gras Terrine for entrees. For our main course we had Coq au Vin and Confit du Canard, both of which were wonderful! A simple dessert of fresh Strawberries and cream shared between the two of us was all we needed to finish a great meal. I had an apperatif of walnut wine and we shared a couple of pitchers of easy drinking rose housewine. The cost of the meal for two was just over 60 euros which we thought was very reasonable.

We ordered the 19.50€ which is considered the 'regional' plate that offers local ham and duck confit. For dessert, we picked warm goat cheese which is served with a small salad. I thought it's weird but it paris perfectly with the melted goat cheese We also ordered the foie gras separately as an entrée. It came with three pieces of lightly seared foie gras sitting on top of chutney and mashed potato. Located across the street of Ibis Sarlat which is where we stayed.

They told us we could come in if we were fast, and we reassured them that we weren't planning to eat three courses. We then were allowed to each only order one item so we each picked an entree. (We really wanted a salad and an entree but the waitress felt very uncomfortable asking for permission for two courses.) After we sat down and ordered other tables began receiving their first courses of three! We watched as other tables were given first courses, then seconds. After we ate our entrees (both were average at best) the waitress told us if we really wanted to order a dessert she could ask for permission. We respectfully declined, and as we waited to pay for our bill we watched as many other tables were served dessert and coffee. This was a very weird experience. Meanwhile the two owners were sitting at another table with their friends eating happily their many courses, which began after ours was served. This definitely made us feel unwelcome and that they were not great bosses - as our waiter and the other waiter were clearly uncomfortable and disempowered. And the food and wine were below average.
