We waited patiently and calmly, understanding that mistakes happen, and let it slide multiple times. When we were finally asked if we wanted to sit outside, we were relieved and thought the issue had finally been resolved. We're not the type of people who like to complain and generally try to give grace. However, shortly afterward, another two couples who had arrived more than 40 minutes after us was seated outside before we were. At that point, we decided to call it a night and go somewhere else. We also noticed differences in service. It made us feel uncomfortable, and we had never experienced anything like that before. We decided to pay and leave. We're not sure what caused the situation and hope it was simply a one-time occurrence, because the bar itself is gorgeous. The drinks were good, and the prices felt reasonable considering the location and the views. we would have loved to have had a better experience. Cozy is really the best way to describe it, but it's not cramped at all. We sat up at the bar and met Vince, the owner/bartender, and over the course of about 2 hours we kabitzed with Vince and simply chatted about France in general, soccer (there was a screen behind the bar showing a soccer match), American football, music, you name it. Vince has got an interesting collection of Star Wars items sprinkled around here and there, and simply created a nice place for people to just come in, imbibe, and sit to chat with friends. This was a memorable spot on our 10-day tour of France, and we loved it here so much that we'll go out of our way to go back for a visit next time we're in the French Riviera.
