Affordable, authentic Vietnamese/Thai cuisine in the heart of Paris' China town. Let me start off…read moreby saying how fresh everything tastes. I'm from San Francisco, so I'm constantly comparing all the cuisine I have in France to the holi-ness that is the Bay Area's China town.
The ambiance is beautiful, the waiters dress up in traditional Thai attire, and it's a warm, comfortable place to catch up with old friends. We got down and dirty with the seafood noodles, a bowl of Pho, fried lemongrass tofu, and their chicken and mushroom dish. For dessert we had tri-colored tapioca (che ba mau), coconut/banana rice pudding, and the sweet tofu. Can you say mouth orgasm?
The mushrooms were tender and flavorful, the noodles addictive, and the Pho soup was as good as any I've had in the states. All dishes were under 11 euros. For the three of us, the total came out to about 50 euros, including dessert and tip. Which is a hell of a deal in snobby Paris.
