This area is known for good beef from small cow farms so my coworkers had steak but they said meat was just ok.. not the best ever. Goat cheese was great as it wasn't too strong. Half chicken was good as it was huge and tastes good. Cheese fondue was one of local specialty so I enjoyed it with fries. Dessert was OK but not great as I imagined considering it's French... Overall, it's a OK restaurant but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here.

In the area visiting family and stopped by for lunch as this was their favourite restaurant in the…read moresurrounding area. We opted for the pepper steak and fries...and the many courses it came with. First they brought out the selection of cured meats, then the main course, followed by the the selection of cheeses. The steak was cooked perfectly. I ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert with a coffee...a perfect end to a great meal. It was a very positive food experience and happy to recommend Relais des Matherons if in the Celon area of France.
