This morning I gave this place another shot. This place seems to be one of the most popular in the city for breakfast. It is perfectly located and has potential to be really really cozy with the odd old furnitures (shabby chic) that always seems to attract. But this place is too crowded. So be prepared to fight your way in... Once you get inside the problems starts...the counter is placed the furthest in and with customers sitting at the tables it is a bit annoying. Then if you are lucky enough to find a seat after buying (because everyone occupy the seats before standing in line), the odd old tables are a bit low. Being tall isn't ideal here. We were lucky enough to get here just before rush hour - 10.15 pm. Then it got crazy! So try to be here before 10 to get a decent seat (they open at 10). Do not sit by any tables by the door - you'll either get cold or crazy. The staff is really friendly, but of course buzy when it is crowded. The breakfast itself is good - you get some choices regarding bread and pastries. I'd wish for a little more greek yoghurt (but it is good). The eggs are newly boiled and you can have kaviar! I guess people like this place for the interior and giving a feeling to be a bit special. They have a reading ex of local paper GP. read more

The place is so lovely and placed in lovely Haga. But the food was not good, my tortellini was cold and not cooked well, it was hard some places. The hygiene too was not good, there was cakes between me and where I had to pay. The service was acceptable, but not good. The only thing we liked was the lovely seats outside. We ate a late lunch there yesterday - or actually, my husband ate lunch because I wasn't hungry. He got an open-faced sandwich with chicken & brie which cost 59 SEK, and he said it was delicious. The woman behind the counter was pleasant and we really liked the interior; it reminded us of the French countryside. The previous reviewer mentioned how crowded the place is during mid-morning, therefore apparently we visited at a good time; only two other tables were occupied (although I think the outdoor seating was full). read more

WARNING!!!! The WORST place I have EVER been to!!!! We made a large order and paid all in full. The server did not want to assist with seating and was very rude and then we waited 20min for our cold sandwiched to arrive and they arrived melted with a lot of oil on them.. When we kindly asked the owner who was such a rude person to either exchange our oily melted sandwiches for the fresh ones we wanted or just reimbursed us he said NO.. you cannot get a fresh one and you can not have your money back. I was in shock. I really have never been approached this way by anyone. So we asked the owner to kindly find us a solution to this issue as they never mentioned that they would heat our sandwiches and add extra oil on them. These sandwiches came out oily and rock hard. We were not at all able to eat this. The owner then took our sandwiches with his bare dirty hands and threw them away and said that we needed to learn that these sandwiches you must eat warm the way he prepares them. Let me clarify, these were a brie banquettes and a cheese and prosciutto baguette. I We ordered other items as well, the soup that was very salty and the lasagna that had a sour taste. We didn't mention anything about them but after receiving the sandwiches late and not as we requested we had to say something. In the end we made a report as he refused to reimburse us for the sandwiches and gave us nothing in return. This place has a terrible management and terrible service. They are thieves and I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! BEWARE PLEASE. read more

Went here on a Saturday on the hunt for breakfast. This place is located directly in the center of Haga. It's pretty small inside because they tried to fit as many tables as possible inside. The place seems to be very popular because it was packed and new customers came in non-stop. So don't sit near the door in winter, it opens every two minutes. We had the breakfast buffet which we initially though included all the delicious looking pastries as well but it didn't. Still it was a very nice selection! When you order you get either tea or coffee (and refills), some cheese and a bowl of Turkish yoghurt (lactose-free available) The buffet includes veggies, granola, honey, milk, nuts and seeds, Marmeladen and jellies, butter, cream cheese, waffles, scones and bread. They bake their bread in-house and it's delicious! Definitely recommend this place for a nice brunch! Not so much the place that you would spend a few hours in because it is super busy in there but with only 90 Kronen for the buffet it's totally worth checking out! read more

What can I say? There are only negative points in my list: -plate with two slices of tasteless cheese, a bowl of quark and a small glass of crushed berries ("smoothie"?) -although it's written outside of the café that bacon and egg are included in the buffé, it's NOT true. Only one measly portion is included (se below) -very badly presented bacon and egg. There were cracks on the plate and the slice of bacon was all dried out and the egg looked like spilled paint. Fortunately I asked for another plate of bacon and egg and I received a better presentation (as you can see in the picture). At first they said that I had to "pay extra" for another plate. I said "are you joking? Then it is not part of the buffé as it is wrongfully written outside of the shop!" . the staff understood my point and offered it for free. -everything that was NOT included in the buffé was on the counter, and it looked way more delicious than all of the other stuff in the buffé put together. That's a very shady way of playing with the customer's hunger... -the coffee tasted awful. I saw a lady in the kitchen filling the can with old coffe (probably brewed the night before...). -Only 1 small tiny glass of smoothie was included.... Again, that's NOT a buffé! Overall a very cheap place to have a breakfast. The decor was way too kitschy and I sat uncomfortably and tried to eat my breakfast. read more

Bad service The lady behind the counter was taking in Persian to the chef in the kitchen while taking my order. No smile or thank you! The cakes looked delicious but look closely before purchasing them, they were dusty today. No covering life over them. The floors of the cafe has have eaten watermelon slices!! A group of us strolled into Le Petit Cafe this past Sunday morning and absolutely loved it. The breakfast buffet was perfect and included a smoothie, coffee, eggs, a roll, yogurt, and an assortment of toppings (honey, flaxseed, homemade muesli, berries). The mix of candles, pillows, and french decor definitely put us all in a great mood for the day too. I was happy to spend 85 crowns and will definitely go back to Le Petit Cafe if I'm ever back in Goteborg! read more

Amazing little café. So glad I came across this place. It has a nice atmosphere with heated outdoor seating and cozy inside. Came here for brunch/lunch on Sunday. The food was delicious, and the baked goods looked amazing; but the lunch I ordered was so filling that I couldn't order anything else besides coffee.
