A great astoria seafood place! Market fresh seafood cooked to order, dont skip out on the calimari. We thought the octopus was a bit salty, and they compped the food. Amazing service!

Ordered through Uber Eats - grilled octopus - portion was fantastic! Good to perfection. Full of flavor and loved the oregano in - grilled calamari - well seasoned also cooked to perfection and the citrus sauce was so good with the bread - lobster tail - cooked well. I think could use a drizzle of sauce - baked clams - very yummy. The breading got a little soggy but maybe due to it being delivered

Astoria has many options for pick your own seafood places, so I was curious when I saw this newer one pop up. We got the octopus, scallops, lobster tails, shrimp, two sides, and asked for all the seafood to be grilled. The shrimp was definitely the best thing out of the bunch. The rest was not bad, but cooking was definitely a bit inconsistent. The octopus and scallops could've used more grilling, but the lobsters were too burnt in some places which made it hard to chew. Service was nice and quick. Total came out to around $150 with two sodas.

My husband and I had a delicious dinner here over the long weekend. It was a little confusing figuring out if we sit first or order first, but the team working helped us get it all sorted. We ordered a variety of dishes, our top two being the fried calamari and the grilled scallops... but everything was high quality and cooked perfectly. While we didn't end up ordering any, they did have a selection of Algerian sodas which sounded delicious. No alcohol, so keep that in mind if you want wine with your seafood. Would recommend!

I tried this spot for dinner with a friend. In the front of the restaurant is the seafood bar in a display case. Literally any seafood you can think of! The instructions for how to order are also by the front. Step 1: Choose your seafood, Step 2: choose how it's cooked, and Step 3: sit down and order sides! To be honest, seeing all the seafood, I was overwhelmed at first bc there are SO MANY OPTIONS!!! But the staff was really nice- both the servers and the guy at the seafood counter who is the owner. We had asked what he recommends which was really helpful if you aren't sure what to pick. My friend and I eat everything and anything (but if you had certain restrictions or preferences, you can share that and they will most definitely take it into account). We ended up with a variety of dishes by the end. Our favorites were the calamari, the octopus, red potatoes, and fried eggplant. We ordered two types of calamari: fried calamari and calamari provencal, which was calamari stir fried in a really aromatic, umami seasoning including olives. I don't even like olives (usually), but having this in the dish gave it a great flavor! The octopus was my personal favorite because it was delicious and the texture was seriously so so good, and so fresh. As sides, we loved the red potatoes (yum!) and the fried, crispy eggplant that was covered in a tomato-based sauce. Really happy with our meal here, and would definitely come back. Come with a big group to try a lot of things. The portions here are great for sharing!

They are a new family-owned seafood restaurant and market in Astoria, Queens, known for its Mediterranean cuisine with Algerian and French influences. The concept allows diners to select fresh seafood from a display case and choose how they would like it prepared, such as grilled, sautéed, or fried. Like Himido or Astoria Seaford, they prepare the dishes in front of you. We ordered the branzino, grilled butterfly shrimp, and a virgin mojito for our lunch and were impressed with how our fish was cooked. Their specialties include branzino and American Snapper, grilled and fried options like octopus, calamari, and sardines, and various fresh catches sold by the pound. In addition to the seafood, the menu offers pasta dishes, a variety of appetizers, such as spicy feta dip, and side dishes, such as lemon potatoes and grilled asparagus. Initially, we found the service a little slow, but once they got going, everything clicked into place. From the point of view of casual Mediterranean dining, it is a delight in the warm spring and summer months, whether sitting near the windows or outside. Reservations were recommended, but when we arrived Saturday afternoon, they were not necessary as there were plenty of tables and seats available. All in all, a solid recommendation

Very delicious spot in Astoria. Newer seafood spot too and would recommend a visit. Loved the food styles and options offered. Service was great too. Not too busy on a Saturday for lunch.

Really taste fresh fish dinner. Everything was delicious although I didn't realize the clams would be breaded, so that was disappointing. Plus they were full of sand, very unappetizing. Besides the sandy clams everything tasted wonderful. My favorite were definitely the scallops, followed closely by the bronzino. Service was okay but got busy by the time we were leaving so less attentive. Called for reservations on Friday night 7:30pm but plenty of seats when we arrived. It's a nice decorated restaurant. Good for a date or small groups. Was sad to find out they don't serve any alcohol. A glass of white wine would have really rounded out the experience. Overall was a great dinner, would definitely be back.

Visited twice and both times have been amazing. This is probably my favorite pick + cook your seafood spot in the area. The seasoning is not too strong / not too salty. You have to get the branzino (grilled), the octopus, greek salad and mussels (white sauce preferred over tomato sauce). Also a plus that the free garlic bread is perfectly crispy, buttery, and garlicy to soak up all the sauces the food comes in.

Lovely and bright space. Great quality seafood and the way it is prepared is DELICIOUS. Note - no alcohol served here. The staff are so nice and helpful. I have been here twice - I suggest 4 or more people so you can order and share more dishes! Most recent visit was a party of 4 on a Monday night. We went healthy this time and had everything prepared grilled (though on my first visit I had fried calamari with a large group and it was VERY GOOD). Most seafood is by the lb and then you choose your preparation style. The staff is helpful with suggestions/recommendations. We tried the burek for the first time and it was amazing! At the table you order sides and salads. There are also daily dessert options. Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood!

At Le Petit you will get the same fresh seafood and the same concept as Hamido, Astoria Seafood and Abquir. What you won't get is the wait and chaos. The staff is great, friendly and makes great suggestions. The price is also very fair. Hurry and go before the word gets out and the influencers get to it.

If we wanted to get a table in the main dining room, the wait was estimated to be over 2 hours (we went around 8pm), so I highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to go. The staff were very quick with service and very friendly. We were offered toasty bread with some lemon and an olive spread while we waited for our food (which also came out super quick!). We ordered the octopus and lamb chops. The octopus was incredibly tender, the meat was very soft - I personally would've preferred a little more bite to it, but it still tasted good. The lamb chops were flavorful. The medium here is on par with medium rare at most other places, and one of our pieces was borderline rare. At the end of the meal we were also offered complementary desert, which was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed our meal overall, but just know that it's a little on the pricey. The octopus and lamb chops came out to $80~ pre-tax and tip. Would recommend if you're a fan of seafood!

Their move and expansion on Ditmars Boulevard was a massive improvement. The soul of the kitchen didn't get lost in the extra square footage; instead, the chaotic sidewalk scramble has been replaced by a much smarter, vastly improved layout. Make no mistake, the lines still form and the room still buzzes with heavy energy, but the experience is entirely elevated. The food remains exceptional, a lesson in Mediterranean-Egyptian execution. The grilled shrimp carries a beautiful, smoky kiss from the fire, and the scallops are pristine, sweet, and perfectly seared. But the real heavy hitters are the giant prawns--and a rich, nutty tahini served with warm bread that acts as the ultimate anchor for the table. It's a spectacular, unpretentious feast where the ingredients do all the heavy lifting. Food (4.75/5): Elite tier. The ability to choose your own raw seafood and have it perfectly dialed in to order is unmatched. The prawns, scallops, and grilled shrimp are flawless, and that tahini is a MUST. Decor (4.25/5): The new, expanded space is a huge upgrade. It's cleaner, better organized, and breathes much easier than the old spot, while still holding onto that authentic, bustling seafood market energy. Customer Service (4.25/5): Despite the relentless rush and the inevitable crowds, the staff manages the counter and the floor with sharp efficiency and welcoming hospitality. Price: Around $60 per person. When you consider that you are paying by weight for high-grade, incredibly fresh seafood customized exactly to your liking, it is worth every dollar.

Recommendations- Bastilla/Pastilla, Tagines, Zaalouk. Grilled platters are alright. On a side note, some dishes, similar to other Moroccan places, such as couscous, are only available on weekends. As per many of my recent reviews, I was at this Moroccan spot a good while ago, with our host having heard about it prior to the place being featured in the NYT Top 100 as well as on TasteBuds, a highly recommended Instagram/TikTok account. The woman who helped us, whom I believe was one of the owners, was very friendly, and the place inside was casual and decently busy, especially for how far away it is from the subway. The food was overall very tasty, with a particularly good bastilla/pastilla, among everything else, and I can see why this restaurant has gotten so much publicity. My preference of the two appetizers was the $7.99 Zaalouk, or eggplant cooked in tomato sauce and marinated with charmoula. The dish reminded me a bit of Egyptian-style moussaka due to the mix, though less tomato-focused and more about the sweet eggplant. The chermoula was very light, with a hint of sourness and spice. Overall, this was delicious, especially with the bread. The other appetizer was the Moroccan Carrot for $6, which was a mix of sliced carrots with a spicy chermoula. Of everything we ordered, this was the least favorite dish of the night, as the cold carrots lacked much flavor, as there was a lack of chermoula flavor, just like with the eggplant. Best of the dishes was the $12.99 Chicken Bastilla, or Pastilla, listed as a traditional Moroccan pie stuffed with chicken strips, crushed almonds, and dusted with icing sugar and cinnamon. A lot of people might find this sweet and savory combination odd, but I have gotten used to it, and this was a very good version. The chicken was well-spiced, the pie was flaky, and it wasn't overly sweet. The previous place, which had the best version, was the long-closed La Shuk in Harlem, and this is better, though I do want to compare it to the other popular Moroccan spot in Astoria, Siham. Second favorite was the Lamb Tajine, or Tagine, With Prunes for $22, consisting of slow cooked meat with prunes, dried apricots, roasted almonds, and sesame, and served with rice. The lamb inside was very tender and fell off the bone. I liked the roasted almonds and sesame as the bit of nuttiness helped with the overall sweetness of the dish. We also liked this dish, and it paired particularly well with the rice. My preference from the grilled section was the $16.99 Merguez, listed as Moroccan merguez grilled over charcoal, and served with rice. The dish came with many pieces of sausage, which had a slight spicy kick and a bit of a snap. For the same price, there was also the Grilled Lamb, or tender lamb with a choice of rice or fries. The lamb was pretty flavorful, but some pieces were a bit overcooked. It was good, though, but not as notable. The fries on the side were a mixed bag, with some being crispy and some a bit soft, so between the two, I would recommend the rice more. While I didn't love the grilled platters, the rest of the dishes were delicious. Combine that with the friendly service, and we had a very good time. I wouldn't mind going back and trying again, though this might also be because I want to have more of their bastilla.

The portions were generous, the meat was consistently tender, and everything was packed with rich, comforting flavor. This is the kind of food that really sticks with you. Even though we ordered to-go, the experience stood out. The staff treated us incredibly well during the wait and even offered complimentary Moroccan mint tea and bread. For a brief moment, it genuinely felt like a glimpse into Moroccan hospitality. I do not rave about places often, but this is absolutely one I would recommend to others without hesitation.
