The Magret de canard was absolutely delicious. The duck was cooked to a perfect medium with a nice sear on top. The sauce also went very well with the duck. The Comme un Pim's was pretty good. We opted to share la menu végétarien, and for 15 €, it was almost enough to satisfy! We had to order a second helping of falafel al a carte (includes 5 extra falafel balls) which was then enough for us to feel oh so good. The fixed menu includes hommos, baba ganoush, tabouli, samboussik jebne (which is like a little samosa with cheese inside), fatayer (another samosa type with spinach inside), rakakat jebne (melted cheese inside Lebanese bread), falafel, and mjadara (potatoes and lentils). There was also a rice dish listed, but we didn't get that. You also get an ample side of pita bread! It's a lot of food and it's all perfectly prepared. At the end of the meal they brought us a couple sweet desserts, one corn based doused in honey, and the other a cream-pistachio topped sweet bread. And! A delicious serving of Moroccan mint tea. The food was amazing, not just in flavors, but also in the presentation and of course, service and education. They take the time to explain every course. And every course had multiple items. And I really like the spice samples that they also bring with every course; see pictures. In summary, my writing will not do this place justice but I hope my pictures do a better job. Ambiance - Located in the main tourist area, Old Port, right on the harbor. An easy walk from our hotel. Beautiful and even with last second reservations, we got a perfect table!! 2nd floor restaurant, two parts. Our table and room faced the harbor, Old Port. So nice people-watching. But if we were able to catch the sunset, it would have made this better, a 6 star review. Service - Excellent, expected and deserved Michelin star restaurant. On the day before, we walked in and made our reservations for the next evening and had no problems. Well, my French is so bad now, basically gone... But they quickly grabbed an English speaking team member. With their help and support we still had a slight issue booking our reservations with our credit card with the link they sent us. The owner/chef ran to the stairs to greet us and thanked us before leaving expressing his appreciation. Price - 145 Euros for the 5 course prefix dinner. 195 Euros for the 8 course prefix dinner. Drinks cost extra, including bottled water. 360 Euro; $425 USD. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2011...? And in 2015 being the youngest Michelin Star Chef at the time. The menu was really thoughtful and well-paced. Highlights included the Tarbouriech oyster, the aioli with cod, and the squid course (which they kindly cooked a little for me when they noticed I hadn't eaten it -- and it was perfect after that). The Gambero Rosso with carrot and reduction was excellent, and the red mullet was beautifully done. Everything was flavorful without feeling heavy. The presentation was beautiful, but not fussy, and the service was warm and attentive without hovering. Another big plus: even with a tasting menu, we were in and out in under 90 minutes, which was ideal for a port day. Relaxed, polished, and genuinely memorable -- a fantastic anniversary meal that didn't feel over the top.
