There are about 10 tables inside and we were lucky enough to sit right next to the kitchen and speak with the owner & chef Bazin Fabrice. You can see that Bazin truly loves food, the hard work and dedication shows in his dishes! Bazin has had many years of culinary study, including time spent at a 2 star rated michelin restaurant! The menu is limited with 2 options for starters (crispy cheese or blue cheese) & 2 options for entrees (fish or pork chop) & 2 desserts (chocolate mousse or apple crisp). We ordered the crispy cheese + both entrees + chocolate mousse and it was all PHENOMENAL. If anyone ever has a chance to visit Marseille, DO NOT miss this hole in the wall - so yummy and truly French!

A friendly staff greeted me and I got a table right away. The menu was written on a board which the staff moved it around to show the customer. Given that I speak no French, so I tried to use the google translate to figure out the entire menu. A lady staff saw that and offered help to translate it into English for me. Problem solved. I ended up order the monkfish dish and it was so delicious!! It was so juicy and tender which the fish meat melt in the mouth. If I come visit again in the future, I will come back and check out this restaurant again.

The waitress was kind enough to translate each items on the menu & we ordered the fried hummus appetizer, steak, poached egg with spinach, fish, mozzarella asparagus, and the asparagus ravioli. My husband and my mother in law is bit of a bread-snob and raved about how amazing their bread on the table was. They loved it so much they asked the server if they could buy a whole baguette then she let us know the bakery name but it was closed so she brought out a free one for us to take home at the end of our meal! How kind of her! (We of course tipped her for her generosity). Fried hummus: Something totally new for all of us & not one of us disliked it (not even my toddler). Poached egg with spinach: Husband didn't like it so passed it on to me. I thought it was a bit salty but of course my son loved it. He killed all the spinach and basically drank all the pouched egg.. then asked for more! Asparagus ravioli: OH. MY. GOSH. This melts in your mouth. Their sauce is rich but not heavy, there's actual asparagus pieces inside the ravioli and it's heavenly! Asparagus with mozzarella: I'm not a fan of mozzarella but this was totally doable. Their cheese was fresh & the texture was almost like icecream. Melts in your mouth as well. Steak: Being asians, we prefer our meat cooked medium well/well done. 3 of us got the steak & asked for medium well but 2/3 were medium rare & the other medium. My husband went with the lamb dish, and truly loved every bite as well. Dessert was lovely as well. Creme brûlée was not bad and the rosemary flan was an interesting twist on the original recipe, only if it came with some sort of fruity sauce to lend some more acidity to it (the half-cut petite strawberry really could not do the job). Waiters were extremely nice but obviously could not cope with the amount of tables to be served and seemed a bit stressed.
