Recommended: the Singapore fried noodles are nicely curried and spiced. The Pad Thai noodles are a good second choice.

However, last Friday, my sister and I arrived at Bunga Raya to find that they were undergoing renovation, which presented the perfect chance for me to suggest getting a takeaway from Tandoori Corner. They have a wide range of meat and vegetarian curries as well as briyanis. There is also a selection of different rices and breads to accompany the curries. We had a meat bhuna and meat makhani with chicken briyani and some parathas. The taste of the curries lived up to the smells - lots of fresh spices, herbs and proper masalas had obviously gone into the making of these curries. What made it even more amazing was the price. Each meat curry was only £3.50 for a very big box of meat-heavy curry. I love it when a place lives up to all that mental promise that you put onto it!
