As my wife talked with the buyer, signor Baracchi sat down and, uninvited, went to flip through a stack of paintings. Before I could stop him, he knocked a brass sculpture into an oil painting, causing an estimated 1,000 euros damage. There was no apology given, nor offer of compensation for the damage. Subsequent attempts to receive at least partial compensation were fruitless.

The cheapest thing I could find during these Italian July sales was literally €30 and bad quality. The higher-quality things are really expensive, like ridiculously expensive. I understand that it is vintage and some of the things are designer, but it really should be a little Less. Very hip Decour but the organization of the story itself is bad. They organized by color, not by style or size. Quite inconvenient. If I had more money, I would suppose I would like this better, as the higher-quality things cost more money. I obtained a wonderful antique Coccinelle purse for my wife, after using my best haggling skills, getting down to what I thought was a bargain price. Of course, it turned out to not actually be a true Coccinelle purse but it was and remains quite stylish. This Sunday, the 12th of April, there was an incredible marketplace of flowers, bulbs, cheeses and other sundries. The crowds were incredible since the weather was perfecto. Fueled by excellent Italian espresso, we explored and explored some more. I really don't think many tourists know about this place since every single soul is speaking fluently while I speak Italian with a terrible accent.

I was in the market for a new leather jacket and saw this shop had an incredible number of different styles and leathers. They have everything from cow, lamb, and other exotic hides to make there jackets. Since this is a family owned shop, you can tell that everything was small batch, hand crafted, vintage style clothing. I was taken care of very well by Sergio. He showed so some great options and helped me find the jacket I wanted the most. He also took the time to explain the different kinds of leathers and which ones would be best for me depending on the application. I was able to get a lambs skin jacket for about $270 euros which to me was completely fair. The quality of craftsmanship and use of genuine leather really highlights that you are truly getting what you're paying for. I would absolutely come back again to buy a second jacket. a minute ago NEW…read moreAfter doing copious amounts of research on leather jackets prior to our trip to Italy (from Seattle, WA - USA), I decided we needed to visit Guendj in Milan. This small family business was started by Yari's mother in 1987 and the shop is packed wall to wall with leather jackets from every era and type imaginable. I went on their website and saw a phone number listed.. I thought hmm, maybe I can message him on WhatsApp and see if I can reach out in advance and say what I'm looking for and what my concerns are (material - looking for lamb skin d/t weight on my back, size - typically if jackets fit my waist they're much too long in the arm, and open to any style that'll fit that criteria, Yari responded right away and was so warm, kind, and reassuring that he would have something to work with. When we arrived a few days later, he showed me a jacket I immediately fell in love with. Literally the first jacket I tried on was the one that I bought! He had just picked it up from where his family makes jackets the day before. Meant to be . My partner got a super cute vintage jacket as well, and we both left with a wonderful start to our day.
