I was on a hunt for Belon oysters, something that I haven't been able to find in the US. I was very happy to see that the board in front said they had belons. We created our own seafood platter which consisted on belons, fines de claires , uni, langostines, some sort of snail that I forgot that name of and a few others, and paired it with some champagne. The oysters were fresh, but not nearly as large as I had hoped. At first, we were wowed by the huge platter of seafood in front of us, but in the end we were quite disappointed. Everything came out of the refrigerator. There isn't anything special about any of the crustaceans since none of them were flavored, just boiled, chilled and served. Had we know that, we probably would have skipped the place. On top of everything, the fiance got terrible food posioning that night.

The seafood was so incredibly fresh and delicious, it is the absolute best seafood we have ever eaten. And we are hard core "foodies". Our waiter was the most charming young man, he spoke excellent English and was very well educated in wines. We got a wonderful bottle of wine to go with our meal. We sat in the patio and had the most romantic evening, warm breeze, not crowded, good music playlist and just amazing food. We will remember L'Enclos de Saveurs Salines as one of our best dinners abroad. Merci c'était super.

It's near the shore, but not on it so I can see how it would get missed or looked over; there is just so much to choose from. I found it to be awesome and if you get the formula meal then you'll eat like a KING for little money. Try all their different sauces! We went with 4 adults and all got different mussels so we could sample more varieties ... that worked well! The address is a little screwy as the name is said to be their address but according to the official city site for Palavas the address for the restaurant is actually their other street (they are on the corner). If you want to get in on the weekend, MAKE A RESERVATION! Closed on Sundays and Mondays for lunch.
