Leah was fantastic! We did family photos this month, and we were really impressed with her professionalism and with the quality of the photos. I didn't even know my two-year-old was capable of taking so many smiling photos on demand! She made us feel at ease, and we are really happy with the results. Leah was also extremely communicative in advance, and spent a lot of time helping me pick out clothes for everyone. On the shoot day, she moved very efficiently and we got a lot of poses and locations in a small-ish amount of time (key when there is a toddler involved). I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Leah Lee. I received a response to my inquiry almost immediately. I appreciated the quick response. It was my first time hiring a photographer for family photos and she helped ease any worries I had about the process. She was able to fit me in within the same week which was a bonus because I needed the photos quickly for our holiday card. We have an infant and she was patient when we stopped to feed him, willing to make silly noises and expressions to get a smile, and unafraid to get her hands dirty (literally - she laid down in the dirt and caught our favorite shot of our little guy). Only two days after our session, I had an email that my photos were ready. There were a number of great ones and we're having trouble deciding which to frame! Our family used Leah to do our annual family photos, which I love to do to capture how much the kids are growing each year. Leah was super responsive, open to where and when we wanted to do our shoot. I shared a couple ideas I had with with as to what we hoped to accomplish (capture our personalities) and she ran with it. Leah is the best, Not only did she do they best photography and editing for our wedding, she was professional, but fun and she captured our special day perfectly. (BTW, my friends would torment me saying "special day" but that should not affect my review of Leah's work.) She has since become our family photographer and does all our x-mas cards every year. I joined yelp just to write this review! Though I did not actually use Leah Lee's services, I have never experienced worse customer service. She says that her packages start at $2,300 for only 6 hours of coverage and digital photos-everything else is an additional cost. When I told her the additional services I needed and asked if she could negotiate something closer to $2,500 (knowing her rates would take me over her base rate of $2,300), she came back with this response: "I am not a cheap photographer and I don't deliver cheap images. Walmart is cheap as is PBR beer. And although you can't get through life without encountering cheap things and drinking cheap beer :), wedding photography shouldn't be one of the items on the cheap list." If Leah had just said that she can't provide the photography services I want for $2,500, no problem. But this was way over the top and completely unprofessional. I'm just happy that I learned this today and not on my wedding day! read more

I don't know how she does it, but Leah always captures the most beautiful and creative pictures of my family despite my two small children that do not enjoy smiling for a camera. She has been our family photographer for 5 years and always delivers. We get SO many compliments on our annual holiday cards because she takes such natural, fun and artistic shots. Leah was great!! She took beautiful photos of our family in the afternoon light at Cal Tech. We brought our dog along and she captured him in most of the photos as well. She is patient, kind and willing to roll with whatever came her way. It was a pleasure dealing with her. Leah did our 6 month family pictures this December. Not only was she comfortable and quick to shoot with, she was able to keep our baby and dogs attention. Plus the pictures turned out great! We were looking for a photographer for our wedding that does photography, not just the standard wedding photos that you always see with no personality. Leah takes personality VERY seriously and is an absolutely incredible photographer. We did engagement shots with her as well which was a great way to get us used to getting our picture taken. She is so much fun and down to earth. And at the wedding she got all the shots we wanted and they all came out beautiful and artistic, but her and her assistant managed to get them without us even noticing that they were there! Leah deserves 5 stars and more! We hired Leah to take family photos of me, my husband, our 2.5 yr old toddler, 4 month old baby, and my husband's parents. That's a lot of people to pay attention to, and she did it wonderfully. I especially liked: - immediate responses to any communication - she was punctual to the appointment time and knew the location well - she got a lot of good shots of my kids, which I didn't think was possible because of how squirmy and cranky they both were - very clear and direct posing instructions and got shots of every configuration of people (grandparents + kids, grandparent + 1 kid, etc) - she worked quickly and efficiently so not a lot of standing around waiting for her to figure out what she wants to do - so important with young kids and grandparents! I am especially pleased that I am having a hard time choosing which shots to put on our Christmas card because there are so many good ones. I would happily hire her again for future projects. She provided great ideas for clothing and props to make sure we got the best family pictures possible. We hired Leah for both our engagement and wedding photos. We liked her as soon as we met her, but it wasn't until we sat down and looked at her work that we really recognized how great she was.
