Fabian showed up with a smile , clueless of course, adding salt to the wound after the case was lost. We paid the office $7,000 retainer, paid expenses as needed, then paid another $6,000 the week of trial. We weren't expecting free work. Fabian then said he'd appeal for about $14,000. But he was so useless on the initial case. So did they lose purposely to charge more money? If there was a disagreement between the lawyers , why take it out on the client?
