    Breakfast Tacos
    Sheldon R.

Food is healthy and delicious. We ordered the Breakfast Tacos. She was a little snooty with us. She seemed offended that we initially ordered something only their Oahu location has, but it was one of the things I saw online. Otherwise, great place for vegetarian/vegan options. Tacos were flavorful. Although a little more sauce of a Chipotle or peanut type would really elevate the flavor. Only 2 outdoor tables available. This is more of a take out place. She was more pleasant towards the end and seemed apologetic almost. Service is huge for me. Can make or break a place. Breakfast Tacos: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5

Lēʻahi Health: Kaua'i Remix! For anyone that's visited Lēʻahi Health in Honolulu, it's worth checking out this location in Koloa. This shop is independently owned and operated, featuring unique menu items. Even familiar items have a personal twist on the smoothies and salads. The Love Bug is a unique item not available in Honolulu and is a combination of chocolate and berries. If you're in the mood for an aphrodisiac at 10:00 am, you know where to go! The Baja Bowl leans more in the direction of peppery greens, which nuances the spicy dressing differently. It's worth a taste to compare and contrast. Even if you've not been to the Mānoa or Kaimuki locations, it's worth trying these salads. Parking is available next to the shop. Turn the corner to check out a bunch of food trucks and benches. The service is friendly and the ambiance is mellow yellow.

Great smoothie spot - Tons of options - Unique fruits Recommend this place post hike! Or if you're around Poipu beach and need something fresh. We didn't try the food but the smoothie was more than enough. I ordered the King Cure, if you like yours on the sweeter side just preface prior. Has lots of unique fruits/additions to include, if you're looking to try something new this would be a good place! Or stick to the basics, either way they are super friendly and make good recommendations.

This place was recommended by a local and it is DA BOMB for vegan healthy fresh food. My kind of place run by a local young lady who just had her first child. I like to support family run local small businesses and this owner works hard to offer good fresh quality meals at fair Prices in Old Koloa town. Keri told us that she also has three locations in Oahu. And Tuesday and Saturday are half price Smoothies with an order of any taco meal. This kitchen is in an historic house and is clean and has a great happy vibe to it. I would be happy eating here everyday and trying each of the bowls, tacos and smoothies. My husband's mock tuna tacos were so tasty and smothered with their amazing maple mustard sauce and furikake. My beet quinoa mock tuna salad was large and filled with beets. This sauce was delicious too and had a nice kick to it. Open 10:00-5:30

We had a lot of fun eating at Leahi Health! It's not too far from Poipu, and it is in the Koloa shopping district. There was a variety of bowls and tacos to choose from. I went with the mock tuna bowl because it sounded interesting (the tuna was made of garbanzo beans) and shared some tacos with my sister. The cool thing about the tacos were that the shells were made from pita bread. Our meals made for healthy, satisfying lunches, but the chickens that were walking around were also bold enough to ask for some of our food! In Hawaii, chickens are known to roam free, but you shouldn't feed them...even if they jump on your table and poke at your to-go box!

One of my favorite places to eat on Kauai! They have the freshest produce with great variety and huge portions. It's located next to several other food trucks, a brewery and restaurants so it's a great option if you're with friends who want to eat somewhere different. Perfect if you're vegan/plant based or looking for a great meal that just happens to be healthy. I've talked a couple times with the owner who's working behind the counter and this is the type of small business you'll want to support.

Had a delicious healthy lunch at Leahi Health. Wish there were more of this stand on the island. Nice small seating area in front of the shop. The Baja bowl was made fresh when ordered. Everything was crispy and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some really aggressive chickens that kept trying to steal a piece of our lunch.

This is a cute little shop with two outdoor seating benches. It's a nice nook for a pleasant lunch. We tried the breakfast tacos and mock tuna bowl. The mock tuna is made from garbanzo beans and the tacos are from fluffy pita! The person working there ran out of quinoa so we could sub extra salad or pita bread instead. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I thought the coconut bacon gave a really nice crunch to the tacos. Definitely a place to try and it's all plant-based!!

After my Waimea Canyon Hike I still had time to get to Leahi Health before they closed....I came the prior day and they were closed by no fault of their own.....so I saw they were about 7 miles off my track which in LA is nothing...over here it is a bit more but I'm gonna say WELL WORTH IT! So I got there about 30 minutes before closing and the owner (I believe it was) told me they were out of Avocado....she can sub it for something else....so I got well more Mock Tuna in my Mock Tuna Salad...I got it to go since I wanted to go back to my hotel and clean up as well before eating it.... I'm gonna say one thing nobody best MOCK this Mock Tuna Salad....it was a 10+ even without avocado...Fresh, Refreshing, Flavorful and definitely something I would order again when I go back!!!! She gave me a discount for being persistent to come back since they were closed the day before but I redistributed back in the tip anyhow....and I'm glad I did because I would say this is one of the best salads I've had in a long time! Finally, I am curious what the "Mock Tuna" is made of??? Nothing wrong just curious.... FYI - like most places in Hawaii outdoor bench table was available to eat there....but I already decided to get it to go! FYI - This place is 100% Vegan I believe :)

Yummy vegan food.. fresh, wholesome and good portions. Do try the smoothies as well. We got the beet crunch taco and tuna taco. Both were filling and delicious. In smoothies we got the cheat day and Ulu wate. Amazing macadamia nut milk smoothies. Service was fantastic. It's a small storefront with 2 picnic benches. Perfect spot for apres beach dining!!! Kudos and keep up the great work.

It was incredibly busy the entire time we were there, which is always a good sign, but the line moved fairly quickly considering how packed it was. It was fun to shop around the grocery store while I waited. The acai bowl we ordered was massive and definitely enough to share. We added mangos as a topping and they tasted almost out of season and wasn't great. The acai itself was smooth. Everything tasted super fresh, and the balance of sweetness with the granola and fruit was really good without being overpowering. Overall, such a fun spot to stumble upon and absolutely worth the stop if you're in Kaua'i.

I also love their water bottle. If you buy one, you get a free mango lemonade and you can get a $5 refill anytime. I love their green juices. Unfortunately so does everyone else and they were always out of my favorite green juice by the time I got there. The shop in Koloa is a great location, way better than where they were before. There is more room for customers now. You can get freshly made juices there, or they have a ton of pre made drinks and different souvenirs you can buy as well. The space is large enough for multiple customers, but not too large to where it is overwhelming. Everyone is always nice here, very welcoming. They try to get your order out as soon as possible. I loved being able to sample all their hot sauces before buying mini bottles to take home (3 for $10)--be warned that some are SUPER spicy (but tasty). Their papaya smoothie bowl with ocean vibes base was AMAZING!! I thought the frozen fruit topping was going to be gross and hard to eat but it has a great chew and was so tasty. Don't even get me started with the passion fruit on it...to die for! The granola and the papaya were also fresh and delicious. Overall I give it 10000/10! I will surely be thinking about it when I'm back home In California. I also tried their Omega This juice that had soursop, orange, mango, dragon fruit, pineapple, and chia seeds and it was soooo refreshing and sweet. I love the addition of whole chia seeds in the drink. I got a Gut Shot ($1) that had kimchi juice to aid my digestive system. I'm a big kimchi lover and this shit was smooth and easy to drink, like a less spicy and slightly sweeter kimchi brine. I also tried their chili and egg breakfast burrito, not a whole lot of flavor and something I wouldn't personally get again. My fiancé liked it though. It's dairy and meat free, but does contain eggs. I liked that it came with 2 sauces on the side, a salsa and an aioli of some sorts. The burrito was a lot better with the aioli. There is patio seating outside in the front and back. We came one day while it was pouring rain but we were able to sit outside without getting wet which I loved so we could eat and watch the rain. Free parking available in front or in the back parking lot of the shopping plaza. Tons of other great food and stores in the plaza that are worth a try as well, including the bakery right next door for some cookies.

We sat on the patio but they call the main dining room however it is outside. The host and the servers were very nice on both days helping us choose our dishes and beverages. The first night were shared the shrimp and unui (sp?) patties. They were tasty and slightly sweet but over-charred and the sauce served with them did not complement them very well. It needed a fresher sauce or something with a little kick The first night I Had the chicken Which is actually a tiny little bird I should've known from the name. - pouisson. It was well cooked, but there was very little meat on all of the bones. And also needed a sauce of some kind. The one baby bok choy was a nice addition. Two of the group had the fish and chips it was made with swordfish that night and was very tasty. However, the chips were slightly limp and not hot. No one wanted to return them, but they really were not very good. One of the other entrées was the veggie bowl with seared Aji tuna and it had quinoa at the bottom with lots of roasted beets and other vegetables. It was a very good dish. The second time I ordered the grilled seafood bowl because that night they were offering Oppa as the grilled fish on the kebabs/skewers that were served on top of the bowl the seafood was cooked, absolutely perfectly, and it had pickled cucumbers, pickled red onions, slightly cooked carrots, and then regular cucumbers on top of lightly dressed soba noodles. It was a very tasty and hearty bowl. We also ordered a kale, beet and blue cheese salad for the table, but what came out was their strange version of Caesar salad, which has chickpeas on it which of course we did not want. It took them quite a while to bring the kale and beet salad to the table, however when they did, it was quite tasty a combination I would not have thought of on my own The first night we ordered the passionfruit cheesecake which had a strange chocolate crust that was too thick and a very light topping of passionfruit. It was fine, but we would not order it again. The whole restaurant is a nice change from all of the really overpriced offerings in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is professional and fun at the same time.

Say hi to G and have lunch there on their front porch!…read more=== We had seen Warehouse 3540 in Lawai on our trips to West Kauai, and after stopping there (also a really great stop but that's another review) walked back to Lawai Market. Super glad we did! Lawai Market has tons of house-made baked goods, a kicking deli section, incredible bread, smoothies, local goods (mostly food kinds), interesting alcohol/spirits, just tons of fun stuff. Counter folks were super friendly, G was especially friendly and helpful, offering recommendations, helping us out, talking story with us, and making us feel at home. Specific thoughts: ++ House-made s'mores bar. Huge portion. Five of us shared one. Topped with toasted marshmallow, then fudge-y brownie, then this incredible crust which seemed like graham cracker shortbread - never had a crust like that. Almost impossible to cut through because it's so wonderfully thick. It literally stays on the knife you use to saw through it. But oh so good. Each bite lasts a long time as you make your way through the layers. + They had more than a dozen other pastries, again, all house-made fresh every day. G says the tres leches cake (beautiful and floating in the cream mixture) and the brownie parfaits are crowd favs. ++ Curried chicken salad. Supreme comfort food but with strong flavors of curry (they don't mess around), raisins, and all sorts of other textures. FILLING - our group of five couldn't eat more than half of the small container and we loved it. ++ Egg salad. Punchier than most egg salads with lots of strong dill. Tended to like the chicken salad more but dug into this when I needed a break from the curry. + Spicy poke. Good and fresh. Personally like the spicy poke from The Musubi Truck better, but this was still solid. Always love the creaminess if the aioli. + Purple power smoothie. You can tell there's something healthy in there - not like your normal straight up sweet smoothie. (I think it's kale.) But this really grew on me. ++ Focaccia. Oh man. Salt crystals on top, great texture to the bread. Our group are bread connoisseurs and they loved this. We went back for a second loaf because we devoured the first one. ++ They have small sizes of everything in their deli which makes getting a selection of a bunch of things for your group easy. We literally sat out there and walked back into the store three or four times to browse and get more items. And walked out with more and more each time. Sitting on their front porch is great too. Yes, the main road goes right by there but lush trees and Kauai greenery abounds on the other side of the road which makes the whole space awesome to hang in. Make this stop - you won't regret it.
