Somerset Baptist is in Roxboro, just outside Durham. It's a nice country drive from Durham. The church is very friendly, and the preaching is excellent. They use a few musical instruments, but not a band. The service is reverent and calm. Traditional hymns outnumber modern ones. The theology is sound, and the pastor teaches from the Bible. Parking is plentiful. There is a long, covered ramp for wheelchairs and the disabled. Dress is comfortable but respectful. Ladies wear skirts, dresses and dress pants. Men wear casual or dress pants and sweaters or shirts and ties. At this time, masks are recommended. You may bring your own Bible or a Bible app or follow along on the large screen behind the pulpit. Give Somerset a try if you are wanting a traditional church. An elder will await you at the door to give you a program and help you find seating.
