Long gone are the days when hoards of people from all over the hills would flock here for the large variety of products at competitive prices. Apart from at really busy times (like Christmas) there are rarely more than 3 checkouts open. Also the variety that once graced the shelves has all but dissapeared, it isn't uncommon to be faced by an entire wall of the same brand, or same product. The staff are still friendly, but unfortunately this isn't enough as most hills supermarkets are blessed with quite friendly staff. If you're looking for a decent supermarket, might be best to look elsewhere.

It's also one of the few places in the hills (if not the only place) where a pub, butcher, bakery, newsagent, cafe and supermarket are all serviced by the one car park. This is very very useful, especially when planning a last minute party or barbeque. The biggest downside is during peak times parking can be quite limited, however there is ample street parking and a big church op-shop car park across Junction road.

There are Christmas themed ones, ones with figurines on the top of them and even stranger ones. You could honestly buy tassels for every occasion. If you are also not a tassel fan the shop also sells masks and jewellery. The jewellery was very nice; there are some great necklaces and earrings. I thought they were quite pricey though. The masks were brilliant. I recently had a masquerade themed party and wish I had known about this shop before. They were amazing and very reasonably priced! The shop also has a range of other random items, but I would recommend just going here to goggle at the weird and wonderful tassels!

Despite being a tiny supermarket I can usually find what I need here, can even get away with doing the big weekly shop. Occasionally there'll be something I can't find, but the same often happens in the bigger supermarkets. Parking is usually easy, but being the Adelaide Hills, the carpark is sloped, making trolley wrangling a fine art. Also most of the parking is uphill from the entrance, so a fine art whilst pushing up hill... Maybe just use a basket.

Today the female owner rudely approached us when she saw I had my phone in my hand checking my messages (because that's what people do with their fucking mobile devises) when she came up and rudely said "have you seen the sign? The said said something like "No digital devises/media to be used in the store". I did not take photos of any products (why???) and anyone can do what the fuck they like with their own devises as long as you are not taking photos or recording without consent (which I most certainly did not do). Then she has the attitude do to say "do you need any help or are you just browsing and eyes us off the whole time as we look around. Funny thing is I actually saw a statue I was going to buy but the second she approached us in that manner I instantly changed my mind. As a small business you might have the brains to treat people more respectfully and we will never visit this shop again and will make sure to tell everyone we know to do the same. What an absolute joke.

This store is like walking into some sort of church, by that I mean there is leadlight everywhere, classy, well made lead light crafted into lamps and shades. it is absolutely stunning, not cheap but fairly priced for what you are purchasing. not only are the products beautiful but the man behind the counter is fun and friendly and he didn't get miffed at my 2 year old niece who kept trying to touch everything which was a bonus. it's not a huge store but there is so much stuff in here, my favourites are the table lamps which are leadlight from base to shade, if i had a spare $400 that baby would be sitting on my bedside table - no matter how out of place it would look. John Graham Leathersmiths, as the name suggests, specialises in all things leather. From belts to bags, everything is very cowboy and wild-western themed. What I like about this shop is that it's very themed and makes you feel like you're in a different world.
