The new length was perfect, new fasteners were sewn in, and I also received the length of fur that was cut off! This didn't make sense to me and my husband but it felt very discriminatory against us because we are both over 40. She asked us to fill out our info on the waitlist and within a minute she was done going through an entire bin. I was told they would give me $3.50 for one purse and that was it. I have been to the Plato's closed in Danbury many times and they always buy a lot from me. I actually work as a stylist in film and television and have a lot of clothing from work that I get gifted. It was very sad to see this location behaving this way. I spent about a minute looking at what was in the store and was not impressed at all. The clothing was garbage and tasteless. It's unfortunate that the staff doesn't have a clue and is judging clothing by the customer. I was also surprised to see a person working there being this judgmental who was extremely obese. I'm not sure if it's retaliation for discrimination she had dealt with personally or what. I think the store and staff need a lot of help.

It is non-hygienic to say the very least, not to mention leaving no accountability for potentially defective merchandise. If they wish to be in the business of reselling previously worn merchandise, they should define themselves as a thrift or consignment store. I was simply attempting to do an even exchange and when I returned with their tags and receipt, the store I visited didn't carry the size I needed. I looked this company up and learned they filed bankruptcy which makes complete sense given my above mentioned experience. I called the District Manager to communicate my concerns and never received a call back. Their extreme and stringent return policy makes it clear that this store does not want to do returns and further that they do not stand behind their merchandise. I will never shop in any one of these stores again for any reason under any circumstances. Mr. Beezos from Amazon just keeps laughing I'm sure because he knows retail stores like this will continue to do themselves in with practices like those described above. The CEO of the company overseeing this mess of a retail chain should not be surprised when sales continue to dwindle and they face a second bankruptcy in the future.

Owner graciously met me downstairs, removed item from my car and took the time to inspect the item and point out the "gem" I procured as he compared my lounge to the "prefab won't-last-five-years chaise lounges of today. He asked questions on where the item will be stored (high traffic va low traffic areas of home) and when i answered he provided a plethora of fabrics to consider. Most importantly, he did NOT expect full payment that day! Whew!! What a relief. Starting a new business is expensive so not having to make full payment before work commenced made my day. Chair is absolutely a transformation. Comfortable and I can't wait to use as a prop. Love the oatmeal color I chose.
