The food... oh dear lord the food! It just keeps coming!
We ordered from the fixed menu. €28 and change per person for endless courses. You unbuckle your belt & say it was a great meal, only for another course to arrive. Then nasty rumours that there is still dessert to come...
Located in the European Quarter, it was quiet. Which I guess is normal once all the bureaucrats & drones flee the city. Kinda worrisome to enter an almost empty restaurant. Yet the friendliness & adaptability of the staff made us feel welcome. They were very happy to change a dish around to make it vegetarian.
People going past must have seen my happy smiling face, as the place started to fill up. Soon the places was filled with people laughing & joking. I've never seen a German laugh. First time for everything...
The food is so flavourful & is likely to create new favourites for your taste buds, if this is your first time trying Lebanese cuisine. It certainly left me with orders for my maid (wife) to make.
Endless courses, lots of wine & complimentary digestifs only came up to just under a hundred euros.
We'll be back. If only to replace those blown light bulbs that set my OCD itching. read more
