After years of visiting this store, they finally pushed us (several) away with sarcasm,…read moreunprofessional attitudes, absolutely and utterly rude most of the times. Was better years past but apparently 'gravity' has pulled them to the lowest h_ll. Between criticizing our beliefs, making fun of personal preferences on particular firearms, made out to be an idiot (there opinion) because we made a request for a specific and very expensive make and model (had to buy this 1 elsewhere, where customers still matter), to being asked 'what the h_ll do you want one of those for', well .. we have had enough. I have never experienced what we could call an actual 'good' visit except one time, a different person was working and that went more OK (but was just OK). We can no longer tolerate such a terrible business -- with tremendously better places and deals nearby, our family and friends have firmly decided to take our business elsewhere (what a wonderful decision this was!). Didn't know so much stress could enter your life from a hater behind a counter. Save yourself the headache and look around town, a bit. One Star is not low enough - limited by the rating system.

Called back he answered and figured out who I was and hung up again. Very unprofessional and very high priced stuff in store would not recommend for people just getting into guns. Very small store too but I don't judge on that. Lots of nice guns just way too high for someone getting into guns.

I have spent nearly 15k in their store over the past year (a large safe, custom hunting rifle, Sig AR-15, multiple high-end pistols, and boatloads of ammo). That said, I price shopped for every single purchase and Ed's beat out every other gun store--to include Ft Bragg's gun stores that you don't pay taxes in. Additionally, I am continually impressed by the level of professionalism their employees display. At no time have I ever felt talked-down-to or belittled--which is a rarity in gun stores now-a-days. This is so much the case that my wife even enjoys it when we go there--which is saying something as my wife is much less of a gun enthusiast than myself. In fact, my wife even ended up taking one of their concealed carry courses a few months ago and picked herself up a Ruger LCR. Interestingly, the family and I ventured up to Raleigh and Charlotte for a few weekends earlier this year. At the irritation of my wife, I stopped in a few of the supposedly better gun stores in both cities. Every time I asked one of the employees if they knew of any other really good gun stores, they gave me the info to Ed's all 4 four times! I found this crazy as we were over an hour away each time. You'd think each of these cities would have a few of their own "good" gun stores... Apparently, Ed's Gun Shop has quite the reputation even outside of the local area. I was impressed. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Check it out!

The service was friendly but scarce…read more Selection wasn't any better than a decent pawn shop and prices were definitely at a premium. I was going to spend almost $700 on a new pistol and ammunition, but they only had one of the particular model I wanted and it was the wrong variation. That wasn't even an issue for me, but when I asked about ordering the one I wanted, it wasn't an option. I thought that was odd, but I guess they didn't need the business and I wasn't going to argue. I went elsewhere and got exactly what I wanted.
