This is a very tiny place in West St Paul, but they do excellent work and are very easy to work with. Taxes are no one's favorite thing (unless you are fortunate enough to get money back each year...which I am not), but the process pretty painless! The drop-off is quick, they ask great questions so they can identify any potential deductions, and they offer the ability to email in documents if you forget anything. The turnaround time is pretty fast, and the.price is terrific. In fact, I was paying almost twice as much at my previous place which was crazy! Justin had allowed my mother to falsely claim me as a dependent (I own a house, pay for my own college, have a full time job, all my own bills I pay for besides health insurance. I am still on my moms health insurance). Due to this, my refund got denied due to being claimed as a dependent by someone else. While my mother was debating amending her taxes or sending me a check for the difference, I had to remind my mother and Justin that I would not get a property tax refund from my home if she were to falsely claim me as a dependent. While I am on the phone with Justin, I simply ask the question, "as a tax professional for my mother who does not know anything about taxes, why didn't you ask her more questions about her dependents?" He proceeds to get very angry and extremely rude and explains that it's all my moms fault. I kind of repeat the question by saying, "I understand why you think so, but you are the tax professional that my mother paid to do this stuff correctly and unfortunately it was not done correctly". He then called me a "Spoiled little brat". He did not lose his temper once it started and he eventually started seriously yelling at me. At this point, I was also upset, but more than willing to continue the conversation once he stopped yelling at me, but he actually just hung up the phone. It was actually appalling that a person such as Justin could be claimed a "professional" in anything besides terrible customer service. I think he was just upset that now he has more work to do to amend my mom's taxes. Most unprofessional human I've ever had to deal with. He was rude, he yelled at me, he called me an insulting name, and we were only on the phone for 8 minutes. Not to mention he did my moms taxes totally wrong! Do not use this company, and definitely do not use Justin!
