These guys are awesome. They took the extra time to correctly diagnose my slipping transmission. At first they thought a fluid change and service would do the trick, but kept it an extra day to make sure it was fixed. As I thought and was told previously from my mechanic the second gear sycros were done. They didn't charge for the fluid service and promptly rebuilt the transmission. After looking for a great transmission place I ran across leeco. I live by other transmission shops but I wanted to pick one based in the reviews. Sam and mr.lee were great and communicated to me almost daily on the progress lucky it was not a transmission problem but the clutch. Perfect contact I had my car towed and due to covid no riders so they called me as soon as my car was delivered. Communicated to me a delay with equipment on their end which was great and I understand if equipment breaks down it's normal wear and tear. Not sure where to start except that Mr Lee is the real deal genuine mechanic. He's extremely knowledgeable about the situation with my suv as I described what was mechanically wrong and shared what I found in research. Nissan has a known issue with transmission destruction due to faulty engineering flaw with coolant lines cracking and contaminating transmission. He knew exactly what I was describing gave me exactly the resolution I already knew and am now down major amount of money but the transmission runs so much more smoother than the original transmission. He also gave a 3 year warranty on his work. This business really let me down with their transmission work on my Honda Odyssey. I brought my van for them to rebuild the transmission in September of 2020 with a 2-year warranty. After about a year, I started hearing an occasional loud clank whenever I put the van in reverse. I brought it back to them to get it checked out. They told me that everything is fine. However, the problem did not go away. I went back again, within warranty time period, and told them that I was still occasionally hearing a loud clanking sound when I put the van in reserve. After checking, they again assured me that the transmission looks fine. Well, last week, as I was driving on the freeway, my transmission completely gave out. I had to call a tow truck to haul my van over to Leeco. This time, they told that my transmission is completely broken and needs to be rebuilt again. But it is no longer under the warranty period. So the rebuild this time is going to cost me MORE than what I paid the first time!! What really upsets me is that I brought my van back TWICE because I suspected transmission problem and both times were given the assurance that it's fine. Lee and Sam both seem like honest people and there's no reason for me to think that not making necessary repairs within warranty period was intentional. However, I question their diagnostic skills and business integrity. If a customer brings the van in twice due to loud clanking sound when the gear goes into reverse, and in the end the transmission completely gives out, a good business practice would be for the business to assume responsibility for not making the correct diagnosis when the vehicle was brought in. Instead, they want me to pay more than what I paid for the first rebuild. I'm very disappointed in how they chose to handle this situation. read more

So my ASC and Check Engine light suddenly appeared on my dashboard so I took it to my regular mechanic and he ran the Code Scanner and told me it was a transmission sensor issue. Unfortunately, my mechanic doesn't work on transmissions so I had to find a shop that did. I called and went to several places but got different quotes and answers. One shop told me I should take it to an electrical shop. Really!? I looked on Yelp and read all the positive reviews for Leeco Transmission so I checked them out. Boy, was I glad I did. I was greeted right away in a friendly and professional manner. I told them what had happened and so they ran the code scanner again and told me the exact same thing my mechanic did. That it was a Shift Sensor. Mr.Lee took the time to explain to me in detail what the problem was and what they needed to do to fix the problem. I was thinking to myself that the job was going to take at least several days to complete. To my astonishment, I couldn't believe Mr. Lee said he could do the job in 3 hours! I was like...WOOHOO!!! AND, most importantly, I couldn't believe how reasonable the cost was. I walked across the street and grabbed a bite to eat to kill some time. Surprisingly, 2.5 hours later I got a call from Leeco telling me my car was ready. End of last month, my family and I went to Mammoth for skiing, and I was driving our 2003 Honda Pilot which just passed 200K. Once we were on FWY 14, I was driving on the carpool lane, and transmission started slipping when I tried accelerating while going uphill. There was no issue while going on a flat area, but as soon as we started going uphill, it slipped. I just kept driving, and when we got to Mojave, had a mechanic check the Check Engine light code. It was 700, which was transmission. If we cancelled the trip, we would lose all; lodging, ski lift tickets, rental, etc. I did some experiment and found out that it was slipping at 4th gear. I decided to keep going and did a trick. Started with D3, accelerated until it reached about 60, then switched to D. When going uphill, wait until the speed dropped to about 55, then switch back to D3. It made the round trip by driving this way. A friend of mine recommended Leeco Transmission. The price was about $200 more than another shop, but they rebuilt it in TWO DAYS! Sam was very nice and explained me the process. Mr. Lee showed me burnt clutch plates when I picked up my car. Why I Went: My car started having issues in the middle of 2018, where it would struggle to accelerate on cold start. It would budget a few inches forward, and then finally several feet. After doing some research, I found out that it was a transmission issue. Today, I went over to Leeco, and confirmed that it was the case. I found them through searching on Google Maps for transmission fluid change services nearby. I got the transmission fluid changed, along with a new gasket and filter for the transmission. They don't do transmission flushes. In fact, since my car was old (1999 Toyota), and well over 200,000 miles, one person suggests that I don't go with a flushing option as it could potentially make things worse (for an old car that is). After everything was done, someone test drive the car nearby to make sure everything is working properly. They even tested my car to see if any error codes were popping up (0 fortunately/surprisingly for my super old car). Once I drove it home, everything felt like it was supposed to before the issue popped up. Now, I just have to hope that my car will last long enough until I earn enough money for a replacement car. It turns out my car's transmission is in a bad condition. Price: I paid 200 (before tax) for the fluid change, gasket, filter change, which also included the labor work. Staff: Nice people to talk to. They know their stuff. They seem to enjoy what they do. Cons: - There isn't any, except for the fact that you might have a tricky time finding the entrance into their location if you don't study Google Maps beforehand (especially if you are coming from the East direction of Valley Blvd.) There are trees and stuff blocking, and it's tricky to see the shop name. You'll probably find an easier time getting in from the West direction since they have a big name from that direction. If you do come from the East direction, and accidentally drive past it, Google Maps said that you can do a U Turn on the next stop light once you drive underneath the freeway bridge, and you'll get another chance to go in. :) Would I Recommend? Yes! Other: Oh yeah, they also have a nice little pet dog. Normally, most dogs would just run up and start barking, but this one seemed friendly. read more

My transmission in my 2003 Honda Accord EX was slipping and I was looking at getting a new car. I already had a rebuilt transmission put in about 5 years ago and it was starting to slip after only 25K miles on it (I only drive about 5.5K miles per year). Anyway, I decided to check out yelp and after I saw his reviews I decided to give him a try. I only had 128K mi on my Honda engine and I didn't want a new car if I hardly drive. Plus he offered a 5-year/50K mi warranty on a rebuilt transmission for an extra $500!! Total cost with tax - $2,230. That's less than my previous rebuilt transmission that only had a 1-year warranty. Honda transmissions are notoriously bad - especially my year. But he knew that, gave me some tips on how to take care of it and so far, so good. The car runs great. Wow! Jon at Leeco is one amazing guy! Not only was he knowledgable, friendly and kind, but so honest, too. These are very rare traits in not only the auto repair business, but in the world today. We brought our Isuzu NPR truck to Leeco for brake & light and smog inspection after being quoted outrageous prices from other repair shops. Jon was just straight forward with prices, no hidden or extra costs, and he did all that was required for our truck. If there was a 10 Star Rating available on Yelp, Leeco would get one from us. And as an aside, Jon is a big dog lover, too. He told me has a little dog that he has to give a shot to every day and that the shots are very expensive. I wish I could help him like he helped us. I had my transmission completely rebuilt for $800 labor, as their website advertises (www.leetransmission.com). I just had to pay for the broken transmission part (which you'll have to no matter what shop you go to) which was like $400. Mr. Lee let me see the disassembled transmission and what was wrong. As an engineer weekend mechanic myself, his experience and expertise in the industry is very apparent. Mr. Lee, a Korean gentleman, is a straight up honest guy and so is his son & their workers. I even checked that broken part with Nissan and it was the same price if not more and not in stock. It took them a few days to replace my Maxima's transmission at 138k and today it has hit 165k over two years later - with no transmission problems since the rebuild. Their work comes with a 1-year, 10k mile warranty, so if anything breaks within the timeframe, they'll fix it, but I never had to bring it back. He also does a courtesy routine checkup on the rest of your car and lets you know of any apparent non-transmission issues. Lee Transmission is a highly recommended shop! read more

5 stars for the simple fact that they do good work and are truly honest as other Yelpers have said, which for an auto mechanic shop is very rare ( to me, at least). Dropped off my '99 Honda Prelude to have the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and rear main seal replaced- all of which I could have done myself if I had the time, by the way- and they did a great job. I provided all the parts I wanted installed and they just charged me for the labor. Brought my cadillac V model in for a simple trans fluid change. I already had the parts since i like to use a specific oil.Called around places for quotes and most shops wouldn't do the work unless they got the oil for me. Finally after 3rd try (you know what the say about the 3rd time) and scolding for asking for trans flush (more harmful than good) he was happy to take my car in and only charge for labor plus got a discounted price. My Acura TL 2004 tranny failed, and I spent 1 week consulted with my friends whom some are mechanics and car tunners. I was thinking of swapping an Accord 2006-7 tranny to this one because the 04-06 are famous for their failure. However, I decided to go for rebuild. I called around the town, more than 20 shops and decided to put my trust in LeeCo. They have the highest warranty (3 years or 30,000 miles) Only time can tell how long my rebuild will last. I did not have a chance to talk to Mr. Lee but Sam was very professional. He's very knowledgeable and you could learn a lot from about transmission him. I could tell he's very proud of his work quality. Still, he's very humble. I had a really fantastic experience at Lee Transmission Co, who has over 30 years of transmission experience. My 2003 BMW's transmission was acting up and knowing how brutal those repairs can be, I panicked and started running around town like a madwoman. I hopped from one shop to another around the westside and the eastside, receiving conflicting advice on whether I should change my transmission fluid or not (I had never serviced it before) and also gathering estimates that were just astronomical. Sidenote: I was about to do a transmission service 30,000 miles ago but my "trusted" shop at the time reassured me that BMWs have a lifetime fluid and that changing it could do more harm than good. Now I've learned that lifetime fluid means it will last until your transmission is completely dunzo and you have no choice but to start from scratch. And you wonder why people have a love/hate relationship with BMWs... Needless to say, I was feeling pretty hopeless but then stumbled upon Lee Transmission Co. Sam helped me out and looked into the problem right away. After a thorough inspection, Mr. Lee did a test drive and confirmed my car would need to do a transmission service soon. I couldn't believe how much Sam quoted me for the service, including labor, parts and tax - we're talking several hundred dollars less than the other shops trying to take advantage of my limited car knowledge, I'm sure. (Actually because my BMW has had so many repairs recently, I know a lot more about cars now than ever! But, still have quite a ways to go.) The most important trait for a mechanic is honesty and fairness, with Leeco you get that and much more. When I got here he checked and diagnosed my car and it needed a new transmission. My car has a few engine problems last year, and I fixed twice at another place, last time checked, they told me if engine light back on again, I will need to rebuild transmission , which is very expensive and does not worth it for my car. Yesterday the engine light came back on, so I thought this is it, I might have to give up on my car. But just out of curiosity, I want to see if there is other possibility, so I came to lee, he told me the issue is not about transmission but o2 sensor, it wont affect driving and I don't need rebuilt transmission, only thing it affect is smog check, but smog check is not necessary until next year, so I got another year to drive my old pal! When my wife Infinity G35 coupe broke down and my regular mechanic said I don't do transmissions that's going to be expensive, you run out of options find someone quick or go to the dealer, who do you trust both are scary options? Luckily for me I found Leeco Transmission! At first, I bid not believe the five-star ratings until I started reading the reviews. I meet Mr. Lee at his shop, he tested my car and after reading the error code right up front he gave me three scenarios of what the issue could be, he then asked me questions about my car maintenance silly right but not for him, it make sense now!
