Once it was established that they were no longer available, he proceeded to take a closer look at the filter, and guess what, he actually took time out to repair it, at no cost to me. I was so impressed with this service that I mentioned that my fridge was on the blink too, on telling him the problems it was agreed that it would not be worth repairing , I then ordered a new under counter fridge and a small under counter freezer too. I was very impressed with his service and time and effort he gave me, I felt I had to write a review to let others know of their excellent service. This jam packed little shop is bursting with electrical appliances, of a large range, and so much so it seems they have had to display some washing machines on the street even! Or, as I suspect more so, they had a sneaky advertising idea - well it worked, I saw the goods on the street and decided to browse. Situated along the busy road of shops near Crossgates shopping center, EHS is a handy store for your household appliances. They are a sales and service store, though I've not had them fix anything so can't really vouch for that aspect of the business. What I can vouch for is the immense amount of goods they have! You want a cheap vacuum? Check - try before you buy Bissell on sale. You want an oven/hob/washing machine/refrigerator/microwave/iron/any other handy household must have? Check. All in store, for some prices that are not half bad either. Cool old salesman type included in the deal, in so far as he'll help you make the sale! A pretty packed, pretty cool appliances shop in Crossgates. Handy!

Their Harrogate Road shop is small if you're used to Comet but has a good range of products in stock and friendly and helpful staff - and it's nice to know you're supporting a small family business rather than helping stores such as Comet multiply like creepy pulsating blobs out of a naff alien horror film! Their products include washing machines, dryers, fridges, freezers, cookers, dishwashers and microwaves. They also offer a maintenance and repair service for most kitchen appliances, so they have in-depth knowledge about their products. They deliver free within Leeds and cheaply within the UK and their prices are very competitive.

You don't seem to find many little appliances shops these days, especially given the likes of a…read morehuge Curries or Comet usually being situated in the nearest retail park, so to have this kind of store smack bang in the middle of wee Chapel A is quite a find. Being a little local shop they also have to have reasonably competitive prices too, so even better - local, small and cheap! You can expect all kinds of standard white goods in here, washing machines, tumble dryers, dish washers, ovens, fridge freezers, gas and electrical cooker/hobs and more. As well as all those sorts of essential items they also stock a range of other handy electricals too. They had a range of heaters, at some really good prices, irons, kettles and many other similar items. I'm moving house pretty soon and having gone down the route of buying in super cheapo-break-in-six-months kitchen appliances I feel it might be time to try somewhere new for all those much needed things - I think I've found my place! 'Discount Vax', 'Dyson a speciality', 'Hoover, Electrolux, Hotpoint, Goblin', 'Vac Specialists', 'Yes we repair Dyson', 'Vax vax', 'Vax', 'Industrial', 'Sales, Spares and Repairs'. So yes, they sell, provide spare parts for and repair a wide variety of vacuum cleaners including those of the industrial variety. And they seem pretty keen on vacuum cleaners! They also include a free electrical safety test or 'pat test' on vacuum cleaners they repair. The vacuum cleaners on display do seem rather cheap, and as the staff here clearly know a lot about vacuum cleaners you feel like you're in safe hands. If you like independent shops with character and have a vacuum cleaner that needs some tlc, or want a new one all together, this shop should do the job!

They are offering global delivery but the charges are excessive for instance: to USA costs £10,000 for just the delivery, Europe is £1000. In reality they don't delivery anywhere except in the UK mainland and this is just a ploy to get better ratings online. Not a trustworthy business, stay well clear.

I went to this shop hoping to find some shelves or draws for my room when I moved into a new place…read more When I got there I realised that it is more of a furniture supplier to landlords than individuals. The place is stuffed full of mattresses and washing machines rather than nice pieces of furniture. There was a guy standing in the door way smoking that put me off going in but I could see through the window that I wouldn't find what I wanted. Having said that, I imagine it is very useful if you are a landlord in Hyde Park or Headingley. It is an area heavily populated by students so there are plenty of houses for rent in need of such a shop. Apart from furniture, they can help with electrical appliances and carpets.
