The Music Hub is a place to learn a new instrument, network with other musicians and to discover the best Leeds (and West Yorkshire) has to offer in terms of new music. It's an amazing volunteer led venture which is the brainchild of Kate Zezulka along with her amazing network of collaborators. Kate is a multi talented marvel teaching harp, guitar, ukulele, piano to all age groups, along with running the very good cafe with fresh made cakes and barista skills which put Costa to shame. My son is taught ukulele by the wonderful Grant Fennell and the quality of teaching is fantastic. All the volunteer staff are very child focussed and they create really confident young musicians. When they're not teaching at the Hub, they are members of some of Leeds finest current muscial exports, such as Post War Glamour Girls and Sky Larkin.
Lessons are competitively priced and the broad range of off the wall workshops are worth checking out. You can make effects pedals and learn basic recording here. I think the word 'hub' is over-used these days, but this place truly gets it right. You can learn, network, discover new music and hang with cool inclusive musicians. I recommend Kate's flat white coffee highly. Wonderful place. read more
