From there, they were able to give me a price estimate, match me with a suitable artist, and schedule my appointment. They required an $80 + tax deposit (nonrefundable) which is deducted from the total price of the tattoo. I did have to reschedule my appointment once, which they accommodated. However, their rules/fine print does seem a bit complicated for rescheduling if you need more than two. Upon entering the shop, there was no one at the front desk (I had an 11:00 AM appointment), but another artist working there pointed me towards the waiver. My artist came in and seated me, then we discussed the tattoo I wanted. She was able to make the requested changes to the type (I got a script tattoo) on the spot, and we got to tattooing! I had Athena and she made me feel super comfortable throughout the experience, making sure to check in on me every few minutes. The interior has a great design, is sanitary, and filled with nice artists and staff. I also love that there's such a high quality, reputable tattoo shop in Markham! (And I didn't have to make the trip downtown) I'd love to come back here!

Response time is prompt about tattoos as long as you're clear about what you want You get to discuss the way the tattoo ought to change and they make live edits on the spot. The venue is clean and they seem to take appropriate sanitary precautions. The first time I got a bashful psyduck from a Korean woman who seemed to understand the sensibility I was going for. I had sent 2 reference photos and neither had a full body but she was able to match it very well. We even had the body adjusted so he looked rounder. The next time I got an Iranian artist who took incredible time with the fine lines although I asked for something quite simplistic. I appreciated his attention to detail. Would return.

I ended up just going home because I was so frustrated and tired of waiting around killing time. As well, every single appointment I've had with her, she has nothing drawn up, and isn't even set up for my appointment. I once waited over an hour for her to try and get her printer to work. Also, good luck getting a hold of her. Her shop has no phone number listed and you can only contact her by email, which she rarely checks. I had to cancel my appt previously due to having Covid, she then decided to ream me out stating that she's a single mom with 3 kids and couldn't buy groceries for a week due to my missed appointment. I should also mention that it's nearly impossible to find the shop. No signs or indication that a tattoo shop is there. You have to go through a maze of hallways until finding the correct staircase to the basement studio. Again, no information is provided to clients regarding how to find the shop or get a hold of anyone. Kelly will also try to withhold your money and make every excuse in the book as to why she can't give it back. Avoid this evil woman at ALL COSTS!

Tara texted me the night before to go over my design and asked if there were any changes I wanted to make, sending pictures of both my reference and her design. I was tattooed during COVID restrictions (the day before closing for the November lockdown) and the receptionist was professional and their screening process was quick and efficient. All staff wore masks, artists were spaced out, and there was only one other client getting a tattoo, bringing the total number of people in the shop to 5. Tara was friendly, professional and printed out 4 different sized stencils. She was patient as I hemmed and hawed over half a centimeter of placement and explained everything as she did it. This wasn't my first tattoo, but I appreciated how thorough she was. The tattoo itself took maybe 15 minutes total and Tara and I chatted the entire time. I couldn't believe how quickly it went and how much I loved the final product. She took a few photos, which she immediately sent me, and went over aftercare instructions, which the shop also emailed to me. We sent each other multiple reference images, all of which were ignored, and looked nothing like her sketches, and it became clear the second i was forced to cancel that she never had any interest/intention of doing the tattoo, but was of course happy to take the $200+ deposit in exchange for the 15 minutes of work she put into her designs. A terrible experience for a first tattoo, and i felt incredibly ripped off.

Service/cleanliness: 5/5 Stella was my artist and she made me feel comfortable being it was my first ever tattoo. She had showed me her renditions of my inspiration and listened to my feedback. The parlour itself is beautifully renovated and decorated with witty figurines. Washrooms could be better but meh. Skill: 4.5/5 Stella is hands down a professional. We communicated through IG and booked an appointment within hours. Didn't give it a full 5 because apart of my tattoo wasn't up to my satisfaction.
