I visited this spot for a lunch date and really liked the location. It wasn't too crowded, and the staff was very attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the grilled chicken with a side of rice and it came with white sauce. The flavor was great, though the chicken was a bit on the dry side for my taste. I paired it with a Prosecco, and overall, I had a very enjoyable dining experience. This restaurant doesn't require reservation which is great and has parking lot.

It had been a few years since my last visit, but during a recent trip to New York City, we took the train in from Tarrytown--and I made a point to stop by one of my old college favorites: Lefteris Gyro. The restaurant still has the same charm I remembered, but with some welcome updates. The expanded dining room now includes space from the neighboring restaurant, and the refreshed décor is warm and inviting. The layout is much more comfortable than it used to be, with both indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar, and a separate takeout area that keeps things moving smoothly. We had a short wait for a table (about 5-10 minutes), but once seated, our server quickly brought water and took our drink orders. The service was prompt and the pacing of the meal felt just right. My partner ordered the lamb gyro, which came with a side of pita, and I had the moussaka, which included a small Greek salad and pita as well. The salad--though labeled "small"--was impressively large and could easily serve several people. It tasted exactly how I remembered it, with that perfect dressing and plenty of pita to soak up whatever was left on the plate. The moussaka was excellent: a generous portion, well-seasoned, and perfectly layered with béchamel, ground beef and lamb, and potatoes. I ended the meal with a sweetened Greek coffee, which was a great way to wrap things up and gave me a nice little energy boost for the rest of the day. Before leaving, I picked up two jars of their amazing dressing to take home--just a little taste of one of my favorite spots to hold me over until next time.

Great service, but the food was disappointing. Would not recommend the Chicken Platter and Chicken Breast Traditional Platter. The Chicken Platter was not like how it was pictured on the menu. It was like sliced ham / processed chicken meatball slices. We expected it to be a bigger version of the Chicken Skewer plate. The Chicken Breast Traditional platter was way too salty. The salad that came with each platter was basic (olives, feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and one dolma). The french fries were average. The tzatziki sauce was not bad though. We might've just ordered the wrong thing. We saw other people order the Chicken Skewer plate ("on the stick"), and it looked so much better (like how it's pictured in the menu), and the portion didn't look too small.

As always, just a wonderful place to sit a Greek meal, they have a full bar which you could sit at in a happy hour plenty of space you don't really need to make a reservation unless it's a weekend great quality food. This is their third restaurant and one can see why the Greek salad is delicious. The soups are amazing tonight. I had the Bronzino special. It was delicious with the lemon potatoes. I took salad dressing home so I could have a little bit of their restaurant and yet again the staff was attentive and just eager to please. We had fried zucchini chips as an appetizer with their Greek potato that has garlic in it. My other hat had a Sol special on the menu as well and he enjoyed it. I couldn't be more happy every time I come here and I will return yet again and again.

The food and customer service was excellent! The platters are huge and everything was well cooked. We ordered a wide range of items and it was all great quality. Nice restaurant to stop by in this area especially during Halloween when all of the servers dress up.

Big portions, outdoor seating on a beautiful day, and attentive servers made for an ideal dinner post tarrytown music hall. The gyro meat was cooked perfectly. The salad dressing was unique. I didn't love the tzatziki but otherwise the meal was good.

Chicken Breast Platter. Undercooked, bland and inedible.

I stopped in for lunch today 6/28/25. One of the servers seated me outside with water then disappeared for 10+ minutes. She came back and I ordered the chicken platter with Greek rice, which comes with a Greek salad. The Greek salad came out with a stack of pita bread. The salad was OK, maybe 6.8/10. The pita had no tzatziki so it sat there getting cold until the main came out. About 10 minutes after finishing the salad the main came out. No attention to plating, just a big Trough of terrible food. The rice was bland. The tzatziki was pretty much just a cup of plain Greek Yogurt, incredibly bland. The Chicken was also bland, lacked color, and appeared to be slightly undercooked. I had a few bites and confirmed that one of the chicken skewers was slightly pink on the inside. I waited about 10 minutes without eating before I flagged down a bus boy to grab a server (they weren't busy). I asked for the check. She asked if I wanted a box, since I had like 4 bites, I told her that I did not and was really not happy with the quality. She asked if I wanted something else, I told her no thank you. Paid $28 ish for an inedible mess. I wound up going down the street and getting lunch at a sushi spot that was infinitely better. Honestly, one of the worst dining experiences I've had in recent memory.

Eggplant Dip , Stuffed Grape Leaves

This was my first time having authentic Greek food and I was introduced to many new and delicious flavors! I've heard of gyros before but never had one until now and I feel like I've been missing out! My partner said this place was amazing and he was right! I especially enjoyed their eggplant dip and I loved how light and refreshing it tasted. I kept reaching for more of it. For me, the stuffed grape leaves were not as impressive but I think it's mainly because it was such a new and unfamiliar flavor to me. It had a mintiness that I wasn't expecting but the leaves themselves were quite lovely. I wanted to try their Saganaki cheese balls but since they didn't have any that day, I opted for the regular one. This one was a show! They do the flambé right in front of you and it's nice and hot. Can't go wrong with cheese honestly. Now comes the gyro - this place does not skimp on portions. For about $9 maybe, we had this huge thing of lamb gyro that doesn't even fit in your mouth. Not to mention it was delicious. The flavors were all nicely balanced and I had to pack it to go since there was so much. Finally came the dessert which I believe I got the bougasta. I liked the flakiness of the crust and its layers. It wasn't too sweet which I appreciated and the perfect way to end my meal. I look forward to coming back and trying more Greek food!

Tzatziki Chicken on the Stick Sauteed Broccoli Extra Pita Lemon Potatoes
    Cindy L.

My office gets catering from here constantly. I am not the biggest fan of Greek food in general so this can be taken with a grain of salt but I find the chicken on a stick a little dry, although flavorful. I love tzatziki and this one is okay, I love cucumbers and I think this one needs a bit more of that freshness to balance out the acidity. I love the pita though, and the broccoli is flavorful. I wish the potatoes were a little more crispy on the outside. That's just my picky 2 cents though!

Do they ship bottles of Dressing across the country, like to Los Angeles? If so, how much are the shipping fees? This is the Best Salad Dressing in the World!

They don't ship it, you need to buy it...they sell it in a glass jar. You can then bubble wrap it and send it. I agree, their Greek salad dressing is great.

Is this a nice place to come after a show?

The food quality is great, however the atmosphere is very casual. If you are dressed nicely and looking for a fancy place to eat I would opt for a different location. That being said the food is very good though.

    Does this resturant have parking?

There is parking, but it can sometimes be difficult to find an empty spot. I would gladly spend a few minutes looking for a spot to enjoy the food.

I hadn't had mediterranean in a while and I'm not head over heels for the place near me so I wanted to try something new. This place seemed decent enough. I ordered a greek salad and hummus with pita. There were varying gyros, another greek salad with chicken, some platters including the falafel platter that GF orderd. My salad was wonderful. The ingredients were fresh and that dressing was lovely. It was a salad I actually enjoyed instead of regretting the entire time I glared at my coworkers who ordered real shit with envy. The hummus was also very creamy, authentic hummus with a slightly different taste than I am used to but head and shoulders above any store bought bullshit. Everyone else said good shit about their food. I tried one of GF's falafel from her platter and it was really good. My only complaint is for $24 or whatever it is, i would expect more than a few falafel balls and one side. Kinda a rip off. But everything tasted really, really good.

Like a lot of these spots, the tables are very close to each other so don't expect privacy especially if you're just two people. They have a decent menu with pita sandwiches, salads, appetizers, souvlaki platters, seafood and a kids menu, as well as specials. We enjoyed the falafel pita ($12.75, not dry and soft pita, hummus sauce but no tzaziki) and the shrimp platter ($25, on a bed of pita bread, fries [similar to diner fries] and a small side of pilaf rice for $4.5). It would have been nice if both entrees came with a side salad (or something) to complete the meal. I had my eye on the moussaka but there was no vegetarian version and they didn't have a spanakopita platter either. Also no complimentary pita, tapenade or chips, unlike some other Greek places. Since they seem to be pretty busy, service is fine and tries to keep it moving. Some people entered and had to wait for a table but staff didn't seem to rush anyone who was languishing a bit out. There was a steady stream of customers and takeout orders which likely speaks to a consistent experience. Their to-go bags were actually blue reusable bags, which I thought was a nice touch. Bring cash because credit card orders tack on almost 4% to the bill. The location isn't the best atmosphere wise (shopping plaza near Shop Rite and next to a Jersey Mike's) - small but not intimate - but on the plus side, parking is easy. If you miss the turn and go into Shop Rite, you can still get to the restaurant without going back on the main street.
