This an update of one of our favorite restaurants. Food is always fresh, delicious and the beer cold. Two Saturdays ago. We went at around 5:30 pm. I usually go on the waitlist. We waited 15 min to be seated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer. It's was delicious. My husband ordered the Boniato, Parmesan crusted grouper over salad. Which he said it was great. I ordered my go to meal, the Everyday Plate with grilled corvina. Includes, coconut rice, a melon pineapple salad and fried plantains. I was so disappointed, with my meal. The fish was over cooked, the rice was a pile of tasteless rice, no coconut flavor or flakes, the pineapple salad, was chunks of melon and pineapple and no sauce. It always so tasty and cut in small pieces. The three plantains were cold and taste old. I am not sure what happened. If we will be back, I'll definitely won't ordered my favorite dish again. I gave it four stars, due to the Brussels sprouts and my husband's meal being so good. read more

Sat at the bar and service was fast and the bartender was pleasant. They had live music on a Saturday afternoon so the vibe was chill. Decided to try something new at leftovers even though I'm always craving the sweet potato crusted fish on a salad I normally get. I ordered a panko fried fish sandwich. It was hot, with fresh veggies and a good tartar sauce. I asked the the steak fries to be crispy since they are thick and they came out perfect. One of the easiest 5 stars I've ever left. Top to bottom was not expecting this at this location. If you want fresh food? Done. If you want great service? Done. if you want incredible drinks? Done. The fish was so fresh each dish was to die for. We started off with the very tasty fish tacos on the rotating daily special menu. Then went onto the main's of the Wrap along with one of the crust options. I will say, if you come here, ordered the crusted options. Never have I had a dish like this and it was flat out incredible. Everything was so fresh. It came out at the perfect temp. If I could eat here everyday, I would. We also had a couple drinks that were incredible. Top to bottom find yourself a table at Leftovers. My boyfriend and I were looking for a good date night spot and through searching in Yelp and seeing all the great reviews - we decided upon leftovers cafe so we jetted on over. We used the Yelp waitlist feature as well so we were able to get sat almost immediately upon arriving which was a great first impression. We ordered the sweet potato crusted salmon and wahoo and they were both so fresh and delicious. The food smelled and tasted amazing we were so happy with our decision. It seems all the food items are very good after asking a couple of people around us and they claimed to be regulars. We also got the Nutella dessert which was delicious and the perfect ending for our date night! I can't wait to go again soon! read more

We had an amazing date night out with delicious food. We got there about 5:30 and had no issues being seated. There were quite a few tables seated, but we got there early enough to not have to wait. We were promptly greeted by our friendly server who also made excellent recommendations on what to try. She asked us if we liked Carpaccio sushi to which we replied, what's that? She basically told us it was rare steak which is exactly how we like our steak. I am not a fan of sushi, but this carpaccio sushi is right up my alley. We also wanted a cup of soup and didn't know if we should get the onion or butternut mushroom. She recommended the butternut since it is not always on the menu. It was a great choice. I must admit it looked a little weird cause it resembled a bowl of spicy mustard. The texture was a little thicker and wasn't exactly creamy, but it had great flavor. We followed up our appetizers with the sweet potato crusted sheepshead. Neither of us had ever had sheepshead before, but it was a great choice and was flaky and moist. We opted to share one entree since we ordered appetizers and of course wanted dessert too. We finished the evening with banana pudding which looked like a slice of dessert. This place had a great selection of unique seafood, super fresh and delicious. I had the blue crab melt, which was an appetizer but big enough for a meal. It was succulent and full of so many different flavors. The restaurant itself is on the small side and they have definitely fit as many tables as possible inside, and this really was my only complaint. It was difficult to get around without bumping into people and dodging wait staff. But our service was prompt if not a bit rushed, but it was extremely busy when we were there. read more

Scallops could have used just a bit more sear but very tasty. We ordered grouper checks tacos, encrusted corvina & hogfish for entrees. The tacos were tasty but very difficult to pick up to eat & (first time ever) we had to return the corvina as it was tough. A nicely blackened piece of hogfish was substituted & it was delicious. Discrimination alert if you are Latino. I had heard great things about this place and the food, so my group of Latino friends and I decided to check it out. Big mistake. We walked in hoping to get a table, and nobody helped us. We stood there waiting to be acknowledged, trying to get someone's attention, while being ignored multiple times directly to our faces. To make it worse, two other parties were helped before us while we were still standing there like we were invisible. The two parties who were helped before us were Caucasian, and they were treated way better than we were. They were acknowledged, assisted, and taken care of while our Latino group was ignored like we didn't even exist. I finally walked up to the counter myself and was greeted by a rude blonde Caucasian hostess. She asked how many were in our party, and I told her there were four of us there, with one more person on the way, and that we wanted to sit down and order drinks while we waited. She rudely told me we needed our complete party before being seated. I can understand that policy if half the group is missing, but we were waiting on ONE person. So I politely asked what the issue was with waiting for one more person, and she snapped back, "You need a complete party to be seated," while aggressively pointing at a sign reinforcing their policy. Fine. Annoying, but whatever. What really made it feel discriminatory (again) was what happened shortly after. A Caucasian man walked in and said he had a party waiting for him and his wife, and that his wife had just walked inside looking for them at one of the tables. Mind you, he was treated a lot nicer and was not reminded of the "full party policy." So let me get this straight, their party was seated while missing TWO people, but our Latino group couldn't be seated because we were missing ONE? That is not a "policy." That is selective enforcement. And when the only obvious difference is who is Latino and who is Caucasian, it does not look like a coincidence. If you speak Spanish or come in with a Latino group, pay attention to how you're treated here. Actually, don't bother coming here at all. 0/5 stars. read more
