I don't mind listening to timed audio recordings where the English has actually been vetted. The champagne tasting at the end is nice too, as the staff does not rush you to finish. Mercier brands itself as an affordable champagne, so the tour experience is what you would expect from the no-frills brand as well.

The advantage of a flight is that they could deliver your entire tasting at once, but the disadvantage is that the last few you taste will be warmer, so may not showcase the champagne as well. Also, we noticed that the champagne was not as bubbly, but we're told that it's because of the glass and they were waiting for a new shipment of glasses. Didn't get to test this theory out, but will do some further research. The Tasting Room itself looks brand new. It's very modern with amazing views of the vineyards. This place is worth a visit just for the views! The champagnes are good and priced reasonably. We saw people buy cases and cases of the stuff, and we picked up a few bottles for ourselves and for gifts.

She's always open when you want to visit and to taste, just give a call to be sure. She took over the business after her grandfather and father and this one oldskool champagne maker; she uses the original wooden (!) press to press the grapes after harvest and there are only 3 in the region that still use this classic method! Her champagne production is quite low compared to the bigger houses in the region; she produces a few thousand bottles each year. She even labels all bottles by hand! But the taste..... My absolute favourite was her signature champagne "Cuvée Ecolibri" (€16 per bottle). Recommend big, big time to visit, to drink, and to take home with you ;-). Another big plus (besides her lovely & warm personality for a Française) is that's she speaks English. Winning on so many levels, this champagne house!!

Upon arrival, it reminded me of what I am accustomed to in CA wine country, small, but quite personable as mentioned above. Greeted by the wonderful staff and sat at a table with a sample tasting flight. We were walked through the entire flight and given insights into the wine making process, which was great. All of the bubbles were spectacular, and they gave bonus pours as well with their high-end wines, so a super plus in my books. Price point, very affordable with it being a much smaller winery versus the other large ones in the area. Finding it as well was quite simple as it was located just slightly out of downtown Reims, so walkable is easily done! While not the largest, they left maybe the best impression on my visit!

When we arrived, they welcomed us at gorgeous room then took cave tour. Mrs. Isabel guided us cave and explained history of Maison, geographic structure & speciation around Champagne region, house policy, motto of wine making so on. cave is also partially modified educationally and artistically. Champagne tasting after tour was also unforgettable moment. There champagne is absolutely elegant, has many of structure and flavor. This is one of best experience during our visiting at France.
