I've never found a musical theater dance class so I planned to take the Tuesday one with Alyssa if I recall her name correctly. We did a song from Princess and the Frog. I have a newfound inspiration I didn't even know it was a thing until Orlando's very own musical theater dance classes! It was awesome. Packed class. Front desk had good customer service. My favorite part is the new, custom floors they made to absorb the shock on your knees and hips from leaping and jumping. The instructors are bubbly and fun. As for COVID, everyone was required to wear a mask when they entered and had their temperature checked at the door. The dancers are spaced out during the lesson and are instructed to like up at the bathroom to wash their hands after each class. I watched the barres being sanitized after every class. I'd be careful with this studio…read more... They talk a lot of hype about their programs and that their faculty is the most "wanted faculty" in the industry. When in reality, their faculty isn't even remotely involved in the industry nor do they teach for any known or established studios or companies. The programs are not at par with the other programs at the top dance studios. A big reason for that is their lack of willingness to change with the times and branch out. If you want your child to be a good dancer, sure, take them here, but if you want your child to be an incredible and successful dancer in the dance industry, take them somewhere else that is more up to date with how to teach and promote their students. As for the director, she "preaches" the word of God, but over the recent years, the studio has lost a huge chunk of their really good dancers. They all went to other studios because of drama at the studio or even because some felt the studio wasn't "practicing what they preached." All I have to say with this studio is, be careful.

I have spent several nights at Studio 5-6-7-8 watching the instructors teach her proper form and technique. The instructors care for all the children in and out of the classes. They are excellent teachers. When I was a teenager, I was the older brother that followed my sister to her dance classes and finally joined her (it is a great selling point telling a teenage boy that they get to dance with girls). After a few years, my sister and I joined the Twin Cities Ballet Company. Unfortunately, when I moved to Florida, I stopped dancing because I was accepted to join the St Petersburg Ballet Company but I could not move to the area and then could not find anywhere to dance when I was in the area I had moved to. Listening to the instructors, I hear them talk to the students like my instructors taught me. They are very professional and respectful to the children. Several years ago, my son has started taking classes for Drums and joined the Studio Rock Band as the drummers. Mr Micheal has taught my son appreciation for his instrument and encouraged him to also learn to play the guitar. Also, Studio 5-6-7-8 always have wonderful and entertaining Recitals at the end of the school year. As someone that knows what it takes to learn for quality dance teachers, I can completely recommend Studio 5-6-7-8 to anyone. It is a pleasure watching my children and all the other students learning to enjoy music and dance. I hope that they will keep up their love for this all through their lives. Thank you to all the instructors for making this difference for my children.

If you live in the Kissimmee/Poinciana area, you will not find a more organized, professional, quality and affordable dance school. The owners, Julie and Michael, genuinely care about their students and sacrifice so many hours to create the perfect atmosphere for their business. My daughter became a skilled dancer and more importantly, she gained confidence and learned discipline. Ms. Julie's no nonsense policies are just what parents need to keep from falling into the "dance drama" pit. The annual recital has become a broadway quality show worth every penny. We really miss this school and I would recommend it to anyone!
