They have a call-ahead feature that I used online as I was leaving to walk over, so I didn't have much of a wait. It was a busy place, so I think I would have had at least an hour wait otherwise. They gave me a pretty big booth, too and didn't make me wait for a smaller table. It was a nice and clean environment. The decor is western with skulls, artwork and leather. There were plenty of staff members, and they worked together to keep things running smoothly. My waiter was friendly and attentive. I got the filet mignon with a baked potato and a strawberry salad. I had iced tea here, and they even gave me one to take with me. The filet and the potato were so filling that I saved the salad for breakfast the next day. It was still very good. I did have some there at first. Then bread was provided too. Even though I am not fond of chains, Longhorn Steakhouse is one of the better ones.

Another truly outstanding experience at Duck's Bar and Grill…read more From one business owner to another, I have a deep appreciation for what you're doing here. Everything--from the atmosphere to the execution--is top tier. But what really sets you apart is your attention to detail and genuine care for your customers. Our waitress tonight, Kaila, was absolutely phenomenal. She picked up on something most people would overlook--I don't use straws--and brought my drink without one, without me even having to ask. That may seem small to some, but to me, that level of awareness and intentional service speaks volumes. It's those little things that create unforgettable experiences and separate good businesses from truly great ones. Kaila absolutely crushed it tonight, and it's clear your team is operating at a very high level. Keep doing what you're doing--you've built something special.

I could taste no blackening seasoning and the portion of meat in the pasta was incredible light. A colleague had the shrimp and grits and he said they were really good. My third colleague had the weekly special - pesto ziti. He said the meatballs were good, but the rest of the dish lacked flavor. The inside of the restaurant is divided into two with a large bar / lounge area that looked inviting. The dining side was comfortable, but dated. I would absolutely give them another try next time I'm in Jacksonville.

Even thought they were busy we were seated right away. Well, almost. The table had to be cleaned but it gave me time to wash my hands after all the shopping. I ordered a Jamaican Cowboy Margarita. It was very good! Daughter loved her half and half ice tea. We tried the Fried pickle app. It was okay but not my favorite. We didn't have but a few. Daughter had an 8 oz steak, salad and broccoli and enjoyed her meal. I had my regular chicken fried chicken with a garden salad and mash potato with white gravy. Excellent! For $14.49 I have enough food for lunch tomorrow. Service by Melissa was very good. The only thing we started to complain about was that the dishes are not taken away even though we set them at the end of the table. But a few minutes later a bus boy came by and took them. Not sure why the waitress didn't take them but it would have been nice. Just can't stand dirty dishes on the table. Kudos TX Roadhouse Nov 22, 2025

I ordered a late breakfast for my family to go, paid through the app, and even left a tip. I went inside and waited in the to-go order line. It was busy, which I understood. There was one gentleman in front of me. A staff member briefly stepped away from another customer, asked him his name, told him his order wasn't ready yet, and then went back to helping the previous customer. Another employee appeared to be resolving an issue with a different guest. Once he finished, I politely asked if I could grab my order since I saw it sitting on the shelf and confirmed that I had already paid. He said yes. As I was checking the bag to make sure everything was there, the to-go worker (who I assume handled those orders) spoke to me rudely and asked what I was doing. I explained, and she then shoved my drinks toward me and immediately turned to help the customer behind me, very politely, while I still needed assistance. I was missing plasticware, syrup, and butter. When I asked for them, she gave them to me rudely. I stayed polite, smiled, and left. Once I got to the car, I realized my husband's food was missing entirely

As we entered there were a lot of hosts gathered around the reception area. We were seated right away in a booth near the kitchen pass through area. Our server appeared immediately asking for our drink orders and if we knew what we wanted. We just asked for water and a lemonade. The ambiance was casual, loud, and active. Chili's has their own vibe IMO. They have a bar area with all the typical accents of a sports bar, but the main seating area has very little televisions, which is a plus for us. She brought our waters and vanished for quite some time. A lot longer than expected. After a lengthy wait our server returned and took our orders. We ordered the three for me (big crispy chicken sandwich), soup & salad, and the Fresh Mex bowl. There was another lengthy wait for our food. The restaurant started to pick up a bit. The tables started to fill up. Our food finally arrived and everything looked good. Each of us enjoyed our meals. My bowl was good with the addition of shrimp. Overall our experience was fair. The wait times were longer than we would've expected. Our server was ok. She had a good attitude and filled our waters a couple times. We'll continue to eat here in the future. It's not a staple for us, but if you just feel like going out, this place is a nice option.

Once we were seated, it took a while for someone to take our drink order especially considering the restaurant was mostly empty (only about five tables occupied). When we finally got our drinks, the strawberry lemonade wasn't great it tasted like strawberry syrup mixed with water. I asked for lemons to help balance it out & my hubby requested another one with less syrup, which ended up being fine. Took a while for our waitress to come get our food order so when we did get our appetizers our main course was already coming out and the front desk guy was embarrassed cause we had no time . Didn't get a chance to take a pic of our meals cause that's how fast it all came out together . The food, however, was good no complaints there. The wonton tacos were really good, just a bit on the sweet side, but the lemon helped. Overall, the food was solid, just slow service.

I figured hey, let's go grab a bite and a beer. Why? Because this place has always been wonderful. The food, the staff, the looks. This time was very different. We step into the restaurant and there is not an employee to be seen. There are about 4 tables of people that have nothing but drinks on the table and no food. We sat at the bar and waited. As we sat and waited I noticed that the place was not very clean now and the bar seemed to be a bit of a cluster. I watched as the other people that sat in there got no service or food after the drinks they already had. We had 2 of what I think were employees come out to the bar and grab some items and walk to the back. All they did was stare at us. Not a word was said. We sat for 10 minutes waiting at the bar. We never got a hi, another look, or anything. I believe that I could have probably gotten my own stuff. I do not like to give low ratings for places, especially when they have always been great. This time though, they deserve this. I do not know what happened to the once great staff that was there but Applebees, you need to do better here. It would seem that the staff is not taken care of or there is no existence of management in the location. Once the bypass begins going through, I hope you all get it right. I do not think that I will be back to visit this one again after that last. I know that I cant change anything alone, but I can let others know that the experience has changed at this location and it just is not good anymore. I hope that they can improve and get it back to what it once was.
