I've had good experiences with these guys. They fixed the carb on my old Honda B100 and they had parts for that old motor that I couldn't even find online. They did annual service on my Honda 75 4-stoike and it runs pretty sweet now. I've had it serviced elsewhere for years and it never ran this well. Service is pretty quick as far as I can tell. Mony is a nice guy and will try to help with advice. I've had the mechanics do the same, unprompted. If you're moored at South Park they'll come to your slip to check out your issue. Pretty good deal. And to that reviewer on here who gave them one star because he forgot to put his own drain plug back in before going out on the water? Dude that's your fault... Overpriced $200/hour, slow, and careless. 8/20 update Boat engine would not start. Likely due to water damage caused by repair shop carelessness. 8/15 update Boat top speed was going lower, and alarm was starting to go off when going above 20. Took it in to Rick's. They said it was overheating but couldn't figure out the problem and kept changing things, water pump, electric fuse, wiring, and even the temperature gage which turned out to be fine. The alarm stopped, but the new temp gage which doesn't mast he my other gages, shows even higher temp close to 200. They forgot to put the plug back in and sent me on the water and the boat started sinking. I am lucky the engine didn't get damaged. I paid $7000 for this boat. It took them 4 weeks and cost me $2500 to have them fix the alarm. They kept saying they'd call me when things are done but never did. I had to call everyday to check on progress and they kept pushing it, blaming the tide, the parts, and so on. Still not sure what caused the alarm and what stopped it. They almost cost me the whole engine, and since they have you sign disclaimers they would take zero responsibility. Go somewhere else. Most places charge almost half the price for labor, are faster, and are probably less careless. read more

THEN he proceeded to help me understand more stuff about my Seasport (in a really friendly and awesome way too)! His service was epic as was his attitude. I'll be going to LMM first from now on. I was very impressed with these guys.  I am a retired executive with the Boeing company and I have seen their shop on the other side of the Duwamish (right at the base of the South Park bridge) from my office for years but never stopped by. I left a voicemail message and emailed them over the 4th of July weekend to see if i could get my 8 hp Yamaha into be be looked at.  They were obviously closed but Mo responded to my email very quickly that weekend (while they were closed) and told me to bring it in anytime on Wed after they opened.  Mony (Mo's husband) was there at 8 a.m. when I brought it in.  He was super friendly and very helpful in setting my expectations on when they would be able to look at my outboard.  It only took them a couple of days and they had it up and running again at a very fair price.  They provided a detailed list of what services they performed.  This family team has great customer service.  They are also very responsive and reliable.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for work to be done on their boat motor. read more

Made the mistake of contacting Union Marine in Fife for routine service. We were told that they could not work on a boat older than 2003. We were also told that no shop would be able to service our boat until late July, early August. Not the case. We contacted Rick's. Mo told us that if we were able to drop off our boat in the next few days, we'd have it by July 4th. They totally delivered and our boat is home today. Had the boat moored at S. Park for many years. Had any number of major and minor problems diagnosed and/or fixed by Ricks. Once you get over the sticker shock of bringing your boat to the shop, these guys always got us back up and running in a short period of time. Mony is great! Very personable and certainly knows what he's talking about. He's willing to "divulge some secrets" so that you can fix your boat yourself. I recently took my boat in for a repair. The owner was great. He said he would have it done in time for our vacation, and he did just that! The boat is 20 years old and they got it running like brand new. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and took a personal interest in my boat and what needed to be done. Do NOT bring your boat to Ricks Master Marine. They have been broken into 11 times in the last 2 years.When I went to pick up my boat they just shrugged their shoulders, they do not take any responsibility. Find a place with good security. all they have is a chain link fence around the property and the burglars just cut holes in the fence. read more

It gives me peace of mind that I won't have avoidable breakdowns when I'm on the water As far as the theft comment, I've never had my boat broken into while sitting in the yard. They are good at reminding you to take yo Sh** with you. Its located in a city neighborhood after all and we all know that cameras and alarms only catch the activity, usually not the criminals. Have been using the services of Mony and his team for well over a decade, through multiple boats, and highly recommend them for everything from routine service to major mechanical. I had an idling issue on my Bayliner Trophy. Was really looking for a top grade mechanic and was willing to pay the price. I ended up paying $1600 for things that were totally unrelated. I gave them two stars because they are very nice. But I'm extremely disappointed and have to look for someone else. A total waste of time from what is a very short boating season.
