This was by far our worst experience. Frances was an absolute nightmare to work with. Frances didn't even tell her clients they needed to leave for the inspection or final walk through, couldn't be bothered to return emails or phone calls from our agent, and didn't even drop off the key and garage door opener to the title company so we could get in our house. This was a $750,000 deal and Frances left us a house that was totally trashed. The sellers suffered an unthinkable tragedy during the sale of the house, and we offered them an extension multiple times. We even asked if they needed out of the sale. They were clearly in crisis and needed a compassionate, communicative, cooperative, and proactive realtor. Frances proved to be none of these things. Staying on top of her client's timeline and communicating their progress with us was her responsibility. Because she did not attend to this basic detail, the move-in was an absolute nightmare for us. They were not out in time. We were sitting in our car with our baby until 9 pm waiting to get in the house. The house was left in absolutely DISGUSTING condition. There were so many personal items left behind, strangers were just walking in late at night, they left us a mountain of trash to dispose of, forgot to give us the garage door opener, and there was a car still parked in the driveway. I have sold two of my homes and would never think of leaving a home in the sort of condition Frances had no problem leaving the house to us in. There are certain things you do to make the house nice for buyers. Having the house cleaned and the garage door opener were actually in our contract. Even if they weren't, leaving a house totally trashed for the buyers who just spent three quarters of a million dollars on it is not acceptable. I packed up their personal belongings and called Frances to coordinate the exchange of their stuff for a garage door opener. She was incredibly inappropriate, insensitive, and unprofessional. She threw her clients under the bus and blamed them for everything, complained about "having to deal with a crying mother all week", told me "when [my] child dies I'll have the right to complain," said I should be grateful they even moved out at all, told me to throw out their personal belongings, said our agent should have to pay for the garage door opener, and then hung up on me. The right thing to do in this situation is apologize. We went out of our way to be patient and kind with the family and Frances, and we weren't considered at all. Had Frances apologized to us for the state of the house, thanked us for our patience, and offered to actually do the things she and her clients had committed to doing for the sale, I would have felt a lot better. Frances took a difficult situation and made it even worse with her incompetence, finger pointing, nasty attitude, and complete lack of regard for anyone but herself. We purchased this house at the very top of our budget, and Frances showed us zero respect or kindness. Instead she left us with a dump and was incredibly disrespectful towards us. There were some really basic steps Frances could have taken to make this a more positive experience for everyone: Answer her phone. Keep us informed on how the family was doing on the timeline. Letting us know they needed more time so we could plan accordingly. Calling a junk pick up service to have all of their garbage picked up. Giving us a heads up about the condition of the house, and informing us of her plan to make sure everything got done they committed to doing. Getting the key and garage door opener from her clients and driving a couple of miles to the title company to make sure we had them in our possession. Apologize to us for not fulfilling her end of the deal. Actually been gracious and kind when I called her. These things aren't even going above and beyond for clients. It's called doing your job, something Frances repeatedly did not do. This chaotic mess was completely avoidable. We could have all worked together to make this go smoothly. The family clearly needed more time. Had they taken the time we offered them, they would have all their personal belongings, the house would have been clean for us to move in, we wouldn't be stuck with a bill to dump all of their trash and leftover belongings, we wouldn't feel so completely disregarded, all the people helping to get things done wouldn't have been so horribly inconvenienced, and all parties would have been much happier.

We placed our first call on a Wednesday, leaving a message explaining the problem and asking for a return phone call. After not hearing anything for several days, we tried again the following Tuesday and spoke to a woman who confirmed an appointment the following Friday morning. When Friday arrived, we waited the entire day for the service person to show up. When he still hadn't arrived at 3:30pm, we called Overhead Door once again and asked when the service person might arrive. She suggested we give the repairman a call directly on his cell phone. We contacted that number, left a message and never heard another word. No return phone call. No visit. Nothing. The following Monday, we contacted Overhead Door yet again. We left yet another message explaining that the repairman never showed up as had been scheduled and politely requested a return call to re-schedule the repair. It's now Friday of the same week and we have yet to receive a call. Fortunately, we've found an independent repairman yesterday who's already made a visit to the house and will be replacing our garage door opener. If you're looking for prompt, reliable service, best avoid Overhead Door altogether. They're hopeless.

Super professional, friendly and efficient. We live in Hailey.
