While I didn't eat the pizza that was delivered, the people who did eat it said it was very good for "Hamden pizza" - (I'm a New Haven girl, I grew up on Ernie's, Sally's and Pepe's) I live out of state and needed some pizzas delivered to my Dad's assisted living facility. I wanted a "local" driver and didn't want to rely on a app. I also wanted the pizzas delivered to a specific location and to be labeled - yeah, I was annoying. I called the day before and explained it all and Jay (manager?) said "we do this all the time, call us tomorrow with your order." Definitely a fallback pizza place if you're desperate. I'm not a pizza geometrist but I'd say the ratio of sauce to cheese is way off. Far from the greek golden ratio I've come to expect in pizza. I'm not sure if there was too much cheese or too much sauce, but it turned into a godawful river of pizza with zero structural integrity. The only reason I am giving two starts because I got an "average" cheese pizza here a few weeks ago as well. Just a testament to their wildly inconsistent pizza quality. Got delivery from here on Friday night off of Grubhub. We ordered Cobb and Grilled Chicken salads, both great and came with garlic bread. We also split a tuna grinder and a grilled chicken wrap. Wrap was our fav. Thought it was kind of odd that there was extra mayo on the grinder considering that there is mayo already mixed in with the tuna. read more

This is a great place to get your pizza. I have been eating there for a while now and I have not yet been disappointed. They make very delicious wings and they do their best on delivery on calls. I remember after a winter snow storm I called for delivery and they showed up at around, if not earlier, than they do on a typical good weather day. Solid place for if you are looking for pizza, wings, and pasta. The guys there are friendly and usually after I eat from there I am pretty full and fulfilled. read more

As far as pizza goes. It tastes great! No complaints really. It's a bit expensive though. Ended up spending over $15 on a small piece and 2 cans of soda. Which isn't terrible by and means. As far as eating in store. It's awfully cramped and the customer service isn't the greatest. Couple of things were off. The guy who took our orders barely said a word and it was a bit akward. If you're gonna offer tables. Then at least have napkins or something. It's literally just a table. I would order pizza if it came to it but I wouldn't eat here again. read more

Ordered through grub hub. Food was eh, the wings were super boring and probably not worth the money. My wrap was wet and falling apart and they put the sauce on the side rather than in the wrap... thought that was weird. I love Legend Pizza! Their pizza is always really tasty. It has a slightly thicker crust than most New Haven area pizza joints, but the crust tastes delicious. Their Italian dinners are really great as well, and come covered in a layer of gooey melted mozzarella cheese... yum! They also have great salads, garlic bread, and grape leaves. We were visiting my sister in law last night and decided to order dinner. She recommended this place as we are not from this area and she is a frequent customer of theirs. Well, we placed on order online and forgot a couple of things, so we had to call and place another order. No big deal right? Especially since we were ordering over $60 worth of food. Well, the owner was less than enthused. He acted like I was bothering him while placing my order. When the delivery guy showed up, he had two receipts, which we expected, but he acted like we owed money on one receipt. We didn't because both orders were paid with a credit card. So, again, I had the pleasure of speaking to the not so excited owner. I had to put him on the phone with the driver to explain we already paid. It was annoying and frustrating. Especially because it was freezing out and the deliver guy wanted to stand there with the door open. Then, we get our food situated and realized the order was wrong. I specifically requested two orders of 12 pc boneless wings. One was well done and extra hot, the other was mild. Neither was correct and one was not boneless. My son hates bones in his chicken, so he didn't eat it. Luckily we also ordered pizza that he did get to eat. At that point, we didn't even bother calling back because the owner was rude. The only good things about this place are the pizza, it was very good and not greasy and the wings. Even though they were incorrect, they were good to the people that actually ate them. I think it is safe to say I would never order from them again. Whether I lived near there or not. Even my sister in law, who is a frequent customer, said she is going to stay away from them for a while as this was not the first time they messed up her order. She said it happens too much with them. Legend Pizza, you want a tip? Remember that your customers money is what keeps your business open and pays your bills. Good steak and cheese good cheesecake bad service my steak and cheese was a little cold because the first delivery guy got my phone number wrong and called someone else and the restaurant canceled my order the problem isn't the restaurant they had the number right the delivery guy some how got it wrong I order my food off Grubhub and I've never changed my phone number and somehow the delivery man got it wrong maybe he should of double checked before leaving then restaurant or called the restaurant to make sure he has the right number before leaving the house and going all the way back to the restaurant I know people make mistakes but I was looking out the window for 15-20 minutes and then restaurant gonna tell me it's to late even though its 9:14 pm and the restaurant don't close until 10:15 pm and the food is already cooked and i only live 7 minutes away from the restaurant. Eventually another delivery guy came and delivered my food. The food is good and everything but just make sure when you deliver food make sure you got the right phone number and if you don't call the restaurant instead of driving all the way back to the restaurant. But some delivery drivers should have common sense when you call a number and they pick up but have no knowledge of what you talking about maybe it's the wrong number and maybe you should check to make sure you have the right number read more

Yesterday, I went to Legends with my mother and we ordered a calzon to split. We decided to eat it there. As I bit into the final bite, I noticed a fly that was cooked into the calzon. I have always loved there food and i especially love hawaiian pizza w/shrimp on top. However, their fried fish and chips lack salt, it's completly bland taste. i had the most hard time eating without any taste at all. i am very spicy food eater and this left me with no taste. over all they pizza is the best!!!!! read more

I have not heard good things about their pizza, and I got a terrible fried fish dinner once. I decided to give them one last try on allhungry.com (no delivery fee-$10 minimum) and their cheeseburgers and salads are incredible. My 2 star rating is based on two things-1.) the delivery drivers expect you to meet them outside-I might as well get takeout instead of delivery. Why am I tipping when you won't get out of your car?? 2.) The owner is unbelievably rude and condescending. He has delivered twice, the first time LECTURING me on my address, stating I omitted it (It was plain as day on the order slip-not to mention if it wasn't there how did you find my apartment out of the 300 or so in this complex? If you get guy with glasses, short with salt and pepper hair-take your food and slam the door. Oh, also, don't expect utensils, ketchup,salt, pepper, etc..
