It really is a great school; with an excellent 11plus pass rate and a real sense of community that you don't get in huge schools. There were about 30 people in my school year, and less in the one below me. This was great, not only did it mean that all the pupils knew each other really well, but also that all pupils got the time and education the deserved from the fantastic team of teachers that they have here. It's a Christian School and has hymns and assembly every morning, it follows national Key stage one curriculum, has a great behaviors and discipline policy and some fantastic teachers! Out of 30 people in my year I'm sure over 20 passed their eleven plus, with four or five passing harder exams for entry into private schools! I would fully recommend sending your children here if you are living or have recently moved to the area!

The clubs available are rather unlike most schools in the area which offer football/netball, Waterloo offer ballet classes for years one and two, rugby, fencing and basketball. There is excellent pastoral support, which again is well reputed and the school is very active in the community. I don't believe it's one of the "big name" schools of the area, i.e. high profile, but I'm not sure why, it sounds fantastic.

I know 4 children who attend at the minute and 2 that have left…read more The teachers are just fab, one of my god daughters has learning problems and they are more that great at accomodating her needs. they have a zero tolorence attitude to bullying and is a great place for children to grow into happy teenagers. The building itself is beautiful as is the playground it has a pencil fence which is very cute for the kiddies.They also have a nursery attached to the school so its easier to feed children from there.

There one of the best primary schools in St Helens and the staff deserve to be proud of that because as a team they all work exceptionally hard to maintain that high standard of education. Plenty of open space for the children to excersise and run around outside and it's safe. Headmaster and staff are all very good teachers with lots of time for the children and parents.

The school in a few years and with real leadership will be an excellent school. There is no real leadership and what leadership there is is not strong and directed in the right way. The current people there seem to believe that by making the building more attractive is what is most important and seem to have lost site of the fact it isa school and it is the education that is more important. Needless to say I got my children out as soon as possible and they are now nearly back up to the level they should be at.

I studied A levels in Media, English lang/lit, and Theatre Studies, thoroughly enjoyed all three subjects and ended up with good results and a ticket to university from this place! It was such a change from the traditional teaching methods through independent education, and it brought to me an environment that made me want to learn. The staff were all fantastic and there are such a wide range of subjects that there's literally something for everyone! The refectory area was also good, serving really decent meals at quite a cheap rate, even cheaper if you qualified for free dinners! The EMA policy encouraged people to attend and I think the whole educational set up is a merit to the UK's education system!

The children in nursery are also asked to wear a uniform to get them ready for mainstream school. As with all schools bullying does take place here, although it is always dealt with appropriately and parents and staff have good relationships to ensure that the children at this school are happy. The children at this school all seem to be happy and progress well.
