I usually go in person to have them evaluate my shoes if they estimate repair costs, if fixable. But with their hours being shortened and I work a day job, they said they would look at pics and send me their thoughts/estimate. They never even bothered replying. This hasn't happened to me, but they charge a premium if your shoes are name brand/think they can squeeze more money out of you. read more

I travel pretty far to this place because I do not have a closer option. The first time they were super helpful and just really nice and actually repaired my son's riding boot on the spot (seam was ripped) and for only $15! The second time it was a similar job but now both boots needed fixing so it was $40 and although I didn't understand how the math made sense I needed them done and it only took a few hours. Was super pleased again. Yesterday was a different story. I know we are all allowed a bad day but the woman was straight up rude. She looked aggravated from the get go, the repair, which was similar to the first time I was there, is now $40 for only one boot. When I told her I didn't have much cash but I would bring it at pick up she said if you don't come with cash I will put them for sale and pointed to a single boot sitting by the door that was never picked up and it's for sale... I mean is that necessary?? Time to find a different place!! read more

I stopped by this store to get two pairs of shoes cleaned. I dropped them off on a Monday and was told to pick them up that Friday (which was fine I had no problem with it). When I picked them up on Friday i was told to come back the next Monday because one pair of shoes needed more time (which i was also fine with). Then I come get them the next Monday (today) and the women who helped me was EXTREMELY unprofessional. Before i left she told me that those shoes were a "huge problem" and when I asked her why, she goes "cleaning them was a huge problem." I was very confused and angry. I understand the shoes weren't in the best of shape, they had scuffs and a little bit of water damage but is that what i'm spending $32 on? To get them cleaned? It's your job to clean them right? I wanted to tell her that but couldn't. I will NOT be returning to this store. read more

I've been here twice, the first time was great, the second, not so much. I firmly believe in supporting small businesses, so I was very happy to find them in town. The first time, they did great work, fixing and cleaning some Ice skates. Prices are reasonable as well. Now for the second time. After having some oxfords cleaned, I went to pick them up. As they have a "cash only" policy, I brought a check, as I didn't have cash. They refused to take a check (not even with an ID). The woman who helped me spoke little English, and when I tried to address it further, she just kept saying "come back, come back," and walked away into the back. Extremely rude. After finally getting cash, I went back the next day and picked up my shoes, expressing my displeasure to a man, who was (maybe) the manager? He was unapologetic and couldn't have cared less. Finally, I'm a pretty old-fashioned guy, but you're going to do your business harm in the long run by not accepting credit cards (let alone a check!). It's 2021. Avoid, unfortunately. read more

CAUTION!!!!!! If I could rate this less than a 1 star I would. Be very careful if you take anything to this business. Took in a brand new designer belt to get a couple of extra holes put in it professionally and after a short period of time, went back for it and they stated you never picked it up and they sold it. No call was ever received that the work was done, no call was ever received that it was sitting there too long, they just sold it and pocketed the money. Then the lady up front got an attitude and accused us of picking the belt up already and just trying to get the money back. No restitution was ever offered to make things right and it was basically we were trying to rip them off. EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE, full of attitude and disrespectful to THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! NEVER will we use this place again and I HIGHLY recommend taking your items elsewhere. CAUTION, CAUTION, CAUTION. Better Business Bureau is next to be notified. read more

Excellent and prompt coat repair! Needed a full zipper replaced on a down parka. The woman gave me several options and I settled on the better zipper that matched the color of the coat and was heavy duty. You cannot even tell it was not the original zipper! Stitching was neat, clean and professional. Yes it was costly and cash only, however it was not a cheap coat (and it was only worn a few times before the zipper was damaged in a car door). Repair was done in less than a week! I would not hesitate to bring repairs here again! read more

I have a hard time believing these people could be anything other than pleasant. I was hesitant to go here due to some of the accusing reviews I saw, but gave it a shot because it's a few miles from my home. They were the right amount of friendly, quickly repaired the heel pad to a pair of boots and it only cost $12. They were just as amicable with the other two customers I saw while I was in the shop. I'm really sorry to hear others didn't have the same luck, but I feel like those must have been isolated incidents, I absolutely recommend Lehigh shoe repair. read more

I took two handbags here - one to have the handles replaced and the other to have the handles repaired. I was a bit nervous about both because the handles that needed to be replaced were red and I wasn't sure that they would be able to match the color and the other bag I purchased during my honeymoon in Italy, so I there is a lot of sentimental (not to mention monetary) value. The new handles matched PERFECTLY and the repair to my other handbag was even better than I expected! The handle replacement was $60 and the repair was $25. Not sure if that is competitive or not, but for my handbags to look like new again it was worth $85 to me. One star off because it did take longer than originally promised, but they did call me to let me know of the delay. Also, they only accept cash, which isn't a problem for some, but is a pain for me. I'd definitely trust them with future repairs and cleanings and recommend them to others. read more

I had two leather handbags repaired. They did an okay job, but it took me almost a month to get one of them back. They abruptly closed the store twice after one of their employees was being persistent about picking them up on a specific date. They said there was no way of calling each and every customer when all they needed to do was post an update on their website. And make sure to check their work, too. I ended up making two additional trips after finding out that the repair work was incomplete. read more

My husband brought my 5 year old, well worn boots in to be re-soled about a week ago. We just got them back today and they are beautiful, as good as new! The reviews made going here a no-brainer, and the workmanship and service did not disappoint. I had to replace the soles of my favorite leather sandals, which I got in Greece. Let's say, I wore them for a lot more miles than maybe they were intended for. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shoes were ready in about a week and they look amazing. Time will tell on how many miles the new soles will be able to handle, but I think we're in good shape. Next up: I'll bring my leather jacket in for some touchups. read more

I brought 2 of my favorite pairs of stiletto boots to get the heels fixed as they had worn away. On one pair the heels were DESTROYED. they did an awesome job at fixing and polishing both pairs up. I couldn't be happier with their service. I would suggest calling ahead of time to make sure they're done, and make sure you keep your slip. Another thing to note, its cash only. Oh my goodness! This place is about as good as it gets! I had a pair of leather shoes where the heel was worn to be bone on the bottom and there was some damage on the inside of the heel itself (it was a block heel). Not only did Lehigh Shoe and Leather Repair completely fix the heel on the inside and the bottom but they also polished and cleaned the leather up so that it look like it just came out of the box! They just elongated my shoe life by at least another year. Will definitely be taking my leather items and shoes here again in the future. Highly recommended. read more

The service in this place is horrible. I took two pair of shoes here, after wearing them a few times, the repair came apart. I took them to another place for repair and they said they could not repair them because the place that fixed them originally (Lehigh Shoe) used crazy glue. I took them back to Lehigh to be repaired, asked the woman why they used crazy glue and she called me a liar. Meanwhile, the crazy glue was sitting right on top of the shelf. I certainly do not appreciate being called a liar. I will never recommend this place to anybody. If you want good shoe repair, go to Camody. At least they are honest and do not do shoddy work. read more
