I was truly thankful for the time she took with us and the detail she provided. She did not push surgery, but went over each option in detail. She was able to explain each step with clarity, which helped us to make a decision regarding treatment. Her depth of knowledge was evident, her communication skills top notch, she was kind, and for a surgeon, she even had a personality! The office staff was excellent, we did not have to wait very long, and we did not feel rushed during the appointment. In my visits, he takes time to review my test results with me, viewing my x-rays or MRIs and thoroughly checking my condition with a recommended course of treatment that I may need to get better. He explains things in the most layman of terms possible and always follows up with you by phone when new results are available. If needed, he will even schedule you for a visit as soon as possible! Other doctors never do this service to their patients... His staff are kind and friendly. They always take care of any paperwork necessary, and any billing issues you might have. They even help with moving your prescriptions to another location if you need it. And they will always call you to check on how you are, so they can report anything back to the doctor. They also call you if you need to be seen by Dr. Roberts. I love the staff simply because they are always accomodating of my needs. If you need to be seen by a rheumatologist, I highly recommend Dr. Roberts to be the first one on your list of doctors to see! He never disappoints!

I had a great team of medical providers for the majority of my time while I resided in Sacramento, California, with my pack of wild but tame, dogs and felines... AKA: My entire family at certain times of my lifetime thus far... I enjoyed working along with Dr. Roberts, to heal & improve my immune system. I reside in the Central Valley of California & locating quality medical practitioners has been a challenge unlike living in Sacramento where I encountered even more quality physicians. My plan is Anthem Blue Cross / Blue Shield "self-funded" health insurance plan; sans vision and dental, unfortunately. I am repeatedly told when I phone his office from where I now live, that he does not take the "EPO" portion of my Anthem pre-paid plan through Covered California. I also asked if they accepted "Medi-cal" health insurance & was told no (looks like I'm getting approved for the 1st time in my lifetime and that officially; will therapeutically unload a ton of stress, fear & anxiety off of my proverbial plate... I can understand this as I once worked with an awesome doctor (I was assigned) Dr. Malorca (& her husband Dan were amazing and their two little tykes, Melissa & Darryl; amazing family! Amazing! ) (I believe her name was spelled & she was an amazing Pediatrician & Filipino; very proud of her heritage; she was fantastic & so good with the kids and infants...They all were really... Yet, I get off track; sorry about that; the ol' brain is existing on sugar-fumes @this time... True story... As I was journaling... I've been phoning Dr. Roberts MD office annually (approximately) for the past 3-4 years where I ask again, if there's been a change to his willingness to accept my Covered California plan. Just called less than 1-week back, & the answer was no. Sorry for the repetition of information; I got swiftly side-tracked but have returned, my minds back on this journal entry... :) I've noticed when reviewing my EOB's (Explanation of Benefits) sent to me by mail (with my handicaps, I retain information often, not always, but often enough, that I do best, when I'm reconciling something, if I have it clearly in print. I wonder why Dr. Roberts isn't comfortable with my insurance. He who saved my LIFE, when I came down with a mean case of "CAT SCRATCH FEVER". I was so sick! Couldn't get enough sleep, nausea non-stop, achy and flu-like symptoms & my back and bones ached no matter what I took to find relief.......He acted immediately! My hands, wrists, and lower forearms were covered in long scratches, red welts, hot, itching; with tiny tiny blisters oozing in the wounds. My feral tiny rescued kittens were the accidental cause. It was a yearlong or more healing & recovery phase, I even had so much swelling in my right breast (doubled at least; in size) Biopsy done & a permanent metal marker was placed on/in the lymph node in question. What an ordeal it was... PS: Specialists like my Psychiatrist, Dr. Zainab Al-Dhaher are paid out @ 100% & her billing is over $300 regularly. I reconcile my EOB's so this is how I am always aware of the billing practices, to verify accuracy. I pay my bills mostly off of the EOB's. It's a great accuracy tool. Maybe this knowledge would better satisfy Dr. Robert's compensation; I could see if it would; he works diligently for his patients... I'm out of room here. She , (Debra. P.A.) on multiple occasions, tried explaining to us, that she would 'manipulate the "coding" so that the charges they were submitting to BLUE CROSS insurance would reflect some made up reason for a non-existent diagnosis that would get them to cover these treatments, 100%!. We didn't quite understand what Debra was telling us at the time. It never felt quite right with us. It almost felt fraudulent, it felt suspect and even shady and is the primary reason that both my partner and I left INTEGRATED CARE and went elsewhere for continued treatments. They, usually "Debra", on multiple occasions, told us, there's just some sort of "lag time"in payments from BlueCross-CA. Eventually, when the unpaid balance was becoming so large and 100%, unpaid. We both felt very uncomfortable about it and discontinued with treatments at IntegratedCare, regardless of the multiple conversations with them assuring us "not to worry" is just some kind of office error. They assured us both, that "eventually, the entire bill would be covered and to "just toss the invoices into the trash". They even kept incurrageing my partner to keep coming for the weekly treatments. All the while, his balance kept growing bigger and bigger. Apparently, the information and instructions that they were telling us? They were either inaccurate or possibly just a plain lies. They made mentions on telling, possibly fabricated information to the BlueCross, so why would I trust them to be honest with us? Over the past year, we are still today getting monthly statements today more than a year later. The stressful PAST DUE OR GOING INTO COLLECTIONS letters start coming in with a past due balance of $7,292.78 ! After numerous attempts to resolve and numerous promises that there no need to worry. Why couldn't they just be honest with us in the beginning or at anytime? Why would they encourage us to continue with weekly Spravato treatments for nearly 8 mos. Why wouldn't they inform us that the insurance was not paying their "bogusly coded charges"? while no payments were being approved by insurance? They never bothered to mention anything about it to us. What kind of business does that anyway? WHERE ELSE WOULD A PRIVATELY OWNED CLINIC CONTINUE PROVIDING "UNPAID" SERVICES FOR 7 MOS? ZERO payments received !! It ridiculous to imagine any medical, "niche" clinic to allow this kind of practice..The charges were more than my partners total income at that time !Over one year later, the obnoxious and bogus past due notices keep on coming on the first week of every month, showing still, no payments made. I now believe that they were repeatedly lying to us, telling us that ALL SERVICES WOULD BE PAID IN FULL. We eventually found another location in which all the needed treatments and services would be covered 100%.. BUYER BEWARE. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU, JUST TO KEEP YOU COMING for treatments while knowing that the treatments aren't being covered by insurance. I believe they just want to keep the number of patients as elevated as possible. That bottom line $$$ is #1 for them. This went on for around 8 mos.! We can no way afford $7,410 or around $10,000.00/ yr. for Spravato treatments for anxiety, depression & PTSD. Nor did we ever "verbally agree" to pay out of pocket for the services. THIS has become a big source of anxiety and depression in itself, over a year later. Thanks alot I.Care. We all know. We will never actually be made to pay this "BOGUS MEDICAL INVOICE". I am no expert, but am starting to believe that they will gladly take it and use it for a income TAX WRITE OFF write off, against the insanely hugely profitable, lucrative margins they work with there. I believe it's several hundred percent mark-up for a relatively cheap pharmaceutical given and supervised by a couple underpaid LVN'S and M.A's. I believe this was possibly there intention all along. I feel this practice is just plain dishonest, wrong and possibly even illegal. We have been very patient, waiting for some kind of resolve on this invoice. We should not be receiving any statement with any unpaid balances today., .Its now been just over a year. Still getting those statements. We are just fed up with this place. The dishonest and manipulative tactics used by the staff at Integrated Care is pretty sub par, even for the far less than desirable medical services community we are all living with today.
