I cannot begin to say how very thankful I am to have found Leichter Accounting Services. In April I had submitted for an extension for our federal taxes. To say it's been a hectic year is putting it mildly, and in mid-October I went online to file for another extension - only to find that there wasn't another extension available. Panic ensued. I reviewed the rough draft I had done of our taxes back in April, wondering if perhaps I could go ahead and send them in. Short story: no. Ok, off to find an accountant. Friends had no real recommendations for us but Yelp and Angie's reviews both sent me to David. He answered the phone. Yes, HE answered the phone. David listened to the specific factors in our taxes and assured me that they could help me. We had some oddball issues and they emailed me with questions/request for clarification and then they researched the issue and included a form explaining the tax law involved. And they got us several thousand dollars back when I would have been happy to have broken even! Short story: Leichter Accounting Services is amazing! Wonderful experience! David and his team are extremely communicative and got back to me right away on every email/call. They are also very knowledgable, and were able to answer my many questions. I've been using Leichter Accounting Services for the last couple of years. I ran into an issue with my 2017 taxes, which were done by another accountant, where the IRS withheld a large sum from my return. David was able to talk me through what was going on, what the possible solutions where, and created a plan to figure it out with the IRS. I searched and saw positive reviews on the internet for Leichter Accounting Services so decided to use them for my tax filing services for 2015 tax year. In the past I have been filing taxes using on-line software myself but my tax situation is now changing with purchase of a new home and sale of the old plus two of my sons are now in college which make things a bit more complex.
