Everything was amazing from beginning to end, the server and wine director very friendly and knowledgeable. And the ambiance is just a mixture of Brooklyn, LA, Mexico City, and Berlin! They also have a coffee roastery and a shop next door where you can buy fresh beans and all kind of coffee equipment. Both were exactly what we needed. It might seem expensive, but so is everything else in Switzerland to someone from the US. It is within 100' from the Bern bears, which you must also go and see while in Switzerland's capitol. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a terrace/patio on the river side of the building, with views towards Bern and the sunset, but you work with what you have.

Every place we visit, he always wants to have burgers at least once. I was looking at the map to find a good place just by looking at the pictures with some reviews. I found this place by accident so we took a chance on it. The restaurant is located inside a casino by the Swissotel Kursaal which we are staying fortunately otherwise we have to pay an entrance fee to go inside. My husband ordered their signature burger and I ordered the club sandwich which they both came with French fries. Let me tell you, when the food came they looked so delicious. My husband loved his burger and I loved my club sandwich which was like the one I had in Paris. The club sandwich in Europe is totally different from the one in USA. They are much much better. Also, the drinks were excellent. My husband ordered an old fashion which was not on the menu but the bartender made a special one for him, it was very good. Overall we had a great experience with this place, food was superb and service was excellent. If you are staying at the Swissotel, you definitely should try this place. They will give you a free drink chip when you enter the casino for the first time.

He accommodated our English very well and translated the Swiss German menu for us. Our waiter guided us through a nice wine selection while paying attention to price and our taste. Dinner was a shrimp salad, veal ravioli, Scottish steak followed but dessert or cheese selection. Everything tasted amazing. I can't say it was the top ever but truly nice, creative and fresh, local and carefully prepared. The restaurant is in a quiet part of the street parallel to the main shopping area of Bern so a nice escape from the busy crowds.

While they favor the Swiss leagues, upon learning we were Barcelona fans (Messi forever)c, they showed us the TV where they would play the barclona game.
