They offer a range of stylists to suit every budget but if you want your hair done by one of the more senior stylists, book well in advance as they get snapped up quickly. The decor is bright, clean and modern. The shop itself is large, and split into four different sections so even on a Saturday afternoon (their busiest time) it doesn't feel overly crowded. The staff are all very friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. My stylist always talks me through what I want done and offers advice and recommendations. I never feel rushed or forced into anything i'm not sure about. I have had various treatments done, colour, perm, up-do, re-style and i've always been happy with the result. As well as cutting and styling the hair, the stylists can offer advice of styling and caring for your hair. I've often enquired about certain products and they are always frank and un-biased in their responses. Overall Morgan's is a friendly, welcoming salon.

Decided to deviate from where I normally get my hair trimmed, or in the case of a year or so back (eep!) totally overhauled and Mandarin seemed like a good shout. I booked my appointment using their online form, as by the time I'd finished work it was too late to call the salon and within an hour or so I had an email pinged back asking to confirm my details for appointment, I'm a big fan of speedy online efficiency! I am one of those people who are prone to suffering in silence in the hairdressers and just sit there hoping my face doesn't look weird in the mirror etc, but I felt completely at ease here. My colouring and the actual cut were split between 2 different staff members but this didn't feel disjointed or miscommunicated and worked well. But last year before my summer holiday I decided to get a dash of colour in my hair for the first time! I went for a natural blonde in my ends and I loved the results! I still (9 months later) get compliments on the blonde in my hair - infact I got one just the other day at work! Kim was great and even had me in for a consultation before hand as I was unsure of whether to go for blonde or something more adventurous like pink or purple.She took a sample of my hair so I could see what each colour looked like in my hair and could pick my favourite on the day! I didn't want to have the dip dyed look I'd seen so many times where your hair looks like it's been dipped in dye and she created the exact look I was going for - like I'd been on holiday and returned with sunkissed hair. I've booked my next appointment for a few day's time as it's my 21st soon! (I really need a system for haircuts other than big events!) All I had to do was send a message to the Mandarin facebook page and a time and date was arranged. Couldn't be easier! And they do student offers! I am happy to walk all the way to riverside from my little house in stirling if it means I can get my hair cut at Mandarin. Yes, please!
