I voiced out my displeasure to the owner, and she tried to help but the end result still looked terrible. The owner was apologetic and seemed sincere. A $5 off coupon for next service was provided. Although I appreciate the goodwill gesture, I don't think I'll return. Too bad because the location is convenient. Forgot to mention: their shellac light wasn't working on a couple of tables. Had to move chairs several times.

Big props to the young woman running this bustling business- a one-woman show- with integrity and respect. I booked my appointment online, which was very quick and easy. My previous review: Cute interior, good location, but poor customer service and a lack of communication between the employees. I've been a few times, hoping once I got into their grove, things would improve. I can't even count the number of unreturned voicemails I've left. Literally a week will go by and my voicemail (during business hours because the phone goes unanswered regularly) will never be returned. I haven't found any of the staff particularly friendly. There's a candy bar at the front and a coffee machine but I've never seen anyone be offered a drink. The nail services themselves are good. Gord checked them out last month and said it was a nice experience. There were lots of colours to choose from for polish. I choose Majestic Mischief and Gord got Blue Eyeshadow (which we renamed Blue Jays Blue) on his big toes. Our feet were soaked, scrubbed, massaged and moisturized for over an hour. When I first walked into the salon I was greeted very nicely by the salon staff which I appreciated way more than other places that say "hi what do you want?" (In a rude way) 3. When I asked for a specific nail design which was an OMBRÉ I was very pleased to know that they were able to do it and didn't mind paying the extra for it as I've tried THREE different salons prior to coming to PK salon and they all said no that they don't have the tools for it when i found out that there was a dip powder option for it I was quite upset at the prior three salons because I knew that the other salons do offer dip powder but just refused upon the time length it would have taken to do the nail. (It took about an hour and a half to finish my ombré dip powder extensions). 4. They have a stamp/point system and I'm a sucker for stuff like that. Also I appreciate it because they offer you a 20% discount on your 9th visit (I think) which is way better than other salons that I use to go to where they had no such things. It makes me feel more appreciated to comeback. (Plus who doesn't love discounts?) 5. Will definitely be my new go to nail place and would for sure be telling my friends. I also hope to try other things as I only did one thing.
